Rev. Dr. Ralph D Abernathy was Martin Luther King Jr.'s closest associate.
He went to jail more times than Martin Luther King did himself in many cases to keep King from going. He was a devoted civil rights leader and pastor of West Hunter Street Baptist Church until his death.
This sermon was preached at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Summerhill in 1985 for Rev. Timothy Flemming's 10th Pastor Anniversary. They were great friends.
