Exquisite, wearable. A designer that makes elegant clothes to live in, to aspire to, not clothes out to make people look like an asymmetric cardboard box. 90s minimialism...but not quite, it is minimalist glam! Great balance.

Dont forget Elaine Irwin. She was from the same generation as Christy, and she did some of the most iconic campaigns for Ralph Lauren during the 90s and 2000s, embodying that old money look.

I fell in love with the craftsmanship & quality of the Ralph Lauren men's wear when I realize how well the cut fits my form. This was in the late 70s. His shirts & slacks had to endure the rigors of the dance clubs and being drenched in perspiration. My husband surprised me with an RL black suit for Christmas a few years ago, which I adore.
