I think because Ralph was so private is why when people look back that his solo success is slept on. He was big during the era when his 1st album came out. It went gold on presales alone, then quickly went platinum and later double platinum and he was everywhere during that time.

I've love them since 1983, but I'm realistic...NE will never even be considered for the R&R Hall of Fame. They are simply not what the Hall looks for. New Kids on the Block won't make it either.

I think he goes up God gifted talent that came from out of the lower income the God has blessed under his anointing to pull his family through that he may praise him and keep him and let him know that there's a God. Ralph and MJ has to be the dopest R&B lead singers ever. Ralph put a swag on lead singer like no other. NE made 5 guys getting together and chasing their dreams the thing. Regardless of race. Look at NKOTB, Backstreet Boys and N’Sync. And you had to have that lead singer like a Ralph.

New Edition is such a unappreciated music group, never here them get mentioned when people talk greatest male groups ever. Even after all their failed comeback tour attempts, I believe that if a New Edition tour was announced tomorrow arena's would get sold out. Much love and respect to Ralph Tresvant.

I think if they devised a comeback/reunion it would be successful. They all seemed to have matured. They're like the Jacksons when Mike was alive. When the brothers got together they were formidable.

I remember when Ralph was gonna sign me and my group from Jacksonville Florida in the 90s through a chance meeting of his cousin Carmen tresvant ...I was a fireman in Brunswick Georgia... I met her she managed a nursing home and I gave her a cd and she sent it and he called to just making a longer story short..I’ll never forget it ...much respect to this dude.

It was the voice and talent of Ralph Tresvant that made the sound of NE and its distinctive quality. Ralphs's voice is what we heard and without it, there would have been no NE, his voice is what made this group known........ as well as the slick choreography. Thank you, Ralph , you stay on my musical rotation right there with the greats and classic Black singers

Even though #NewEdition wasn't recognized on a broader scale....They are still that one group who is STILL relevant today. New Edition is "THE" group EVERYONE wants to see (young/old, male/female, any and all Ethnicities). It's a want and a desire to see #RalphTresvant, #JohnnyGill, #BobbyBrown, #BBD and of course #NewEdition

The fans have to allow the fellas to come together on their time instead of when we want them too (cause we want a tour). Good things come to those who wait and patience is a virtue. I can bet my last dollar, if the fellas come back when it's BEST FOR THEM and NOT because the fans are demanding their return... it's gonna be worth the wait!!!

I absolutely loved this interview!! Ralph Tresvant is definitely a class act!! I've met him in 2002 after getting off work as a kindergarten school teacher and he was such a sweetheart and so humble just like in this interview and I remember him being thankful for the love and support as a fan throughout the years forever NE ❤ ❤

Such a class act and an amazing artist. You just don’t get artists like him. Grew up a fan of his and will always be. My young boys are fans too. It’s great to have role models like Ralph. I’ve told them his story, his work ethic and his heart. He’s always been there for others and never complained.

Such a great exclusive interview. Sway been talkin wit legends since Wake Up Show blew up Hip Hop in the Bay. Love how he’s showin Ralph love and makin sure he know The Bay got love. My older cousin is Sway’s age & I thank my Cous for playing New Edition music during all our car rides! Because of that I knew about Whispers in Bed at 8 years old, singin With You All The Way, and Earth Angel!!! Ralph T is a class act and I loved hearing him speak on here - it’s different than his radio show. Makes me love him even more. Oh and I remember he was first up on the collaboration for the troops Voices That Care - I wonder if he remembers that (1991)❤️💋🥰

Wow, I enjoyed this interview. I look forward to watching the documentary. I grew up with New Edition while they grew up and whenever they came to STL... my mom had us at every show. I remember when they performed at Six Flags; did two shows. We didn’t get on any rides because we wanted to stand in line and wait for the next show.
