Just to make it clear to anyone watching this video that if you speck out a Ram 3500 HO tradesman Dually it has a higher tow capacity than a ford F450 and a F350. If you are looking for payload than the F450 is the way to go. The fords do tend to shift better than the Ram but it’s just like he mentioned, it’s a semi-truck inline 6 matched to a city bus transmission. With that being said it’s a 3500 with a commercial engine/tranny. so very reliable. great video brother just wanted to point out a few tow capacity mis-haps.!!

HUGE difference in the Ram with 37,090 vs the Ford F450 37,000. That 90 pounds will make a huge difference in the decisions of many!

The F350 DRW has 600lb more payload capacity than a F450. It physically can carry more due the larger and wider front axle, and the brakes. But it had to be de-rated to fit the 14k class.

I agree 100%. Ford hands down the best. GMC needs new seats but is the best looking. RAM needs a 10 speed. Cheers!

I had 2020 F350 DRW 6.7 Lariat and now have 2023 Ram 3500 Limited DRW HO6.7 with 6 speed Aisin trans , 4.1 gear. Ram drives better.. MPG is better on Ford. Lot less drama on Ram. It comes with TPMS vs no TPMS on F450 Limited. And after waiting forever on F450 Limited, I am glad that I made the change.

@@TheSpeedBug I did the whole truck PPF and Ceramic tint 30 15 15 with windshield tint. I will probably put 235 80 17 on my first tire change. But may lift it just little with tad bigger tires. Other than that after 12k miles, it does drive better than my 2020 F350 DRW 6.7. Ram is slower and mpg is around 15.5 and not good. I believe F450 will get around 16.5 mpg. I do love 19" tires and wide front axle on Ford. Your video is great. I wish you had Ram 3500 Limited Big Horn or Limited when comparing to F450 Platinum DRW.

Might be swapping my Titan out for an 02 F450 7.3 with only 70k miles. No doubt it'll be a good choice. Probably same fuel mileage for double the capability. Plus it has a dump bed which is going to save me hours of driving around to grab the dump trailer after i just dropped off the skidsteer. Used to lovey Ram 2500 but I didn't keep it into old age.

My brother has a new ford with the 10 speed. And when u get on it....it feels like it doesn't know what gear it wants to be in. Sorry, don't care for it

It’s a commercial 10 speed not a dual clutch in an Audi. Try the auto 10 speed in an international rig and the ford will seem like it’s lightning fast.

The F450 is a class 4 truck and the 3500 is a class 3 truck. So comparing the two truck is not exactly apples to apples.

Does the F450 have better turning radius compared to F350? Ram doesn't have a 4500 with better turning radius right?

Question....these 2022 F450 Platinum dually do not come with TPMS sensors. Did you add any to yours, if so which kind?

Good point. F450 doesn't come with TPMS nor Air bag. I was waiting for 2023 F450 Limited but at the end, I went with 2023 Ram 3500 Limited HO 6.7 DRW LWB that has TPMS and Rear Air bag. I loved my 2020 F350 Lariat 6.7 DRW which was the great truck. If you care about checking tire pressure, than F450 is not good. But if you check once a month, it is fine as well.

There is a reason why ford has the same trans in all their superduty.....ram has different trans and they all have issues

@@maccheese9072 I'd rather have massage seats and a 360 camera any day over a Fiat. 3rd Ford owner, 1st was a 7.3 with 460K miles on sealed motor and ZF6, now on a KR 6.7 alumiduty with over 100K miles of hauling heavy galvanized piping.

What lo u must be stuck in 2006. 6.7 is the best towing engine ever made so far besides 7.3 offcourse

Dodge should have made a change away from the strait 6 when they went to the 24 valve. The I 6 is a great design but simply can not make the usable power the V8s do. Cumins pushed the power on the new engines to the point they are having head issues just to compete. I ordered the 450 over the much lower priced dodge.

Lower priced? I specs a 450 lariat to a 3500 ram Laramie, all options I could get for each model, ford comes in at 88k and the ram 97k…. Test drove a 2020 ram today with the H.O, and as soon as 2023 orders are open, I’m ordering a Ram. I will say, the ford 6.7 is more peppier than a Cummins ho, but that’s not stopping me from getting one.
