Ya that really impresses me how they work so closely with all the PD's and FD's in the area. I love to watch Ron and the crew work with the other departments as they all pitch in and help to watch each others backs. From putting fire trucks as blockers like in this vid to the PD and FD willing to help move chunks of the car onto the transporter unit.

@paulnieuwkamp8067
@paulnieuwkamp8067 4 жыл бұрын
@@RonPratt Ah, now I remember. I was wondering why it was pulled. I haven't kept up with the comments but the beeping can get on your nerves. That's what we've got mute buttons for; there isn't a lot of other audio going on anyway :) I did post on the original video about constant beepers losing their function (it would be better to only sound the alarm when there is actually something wrong, like PTO engaged and transmission in forward or reverse); I hope that wasn't taken as offense. It's more aimed at manufacturers than anyone else. You can't please everyone, there will always be some negative Nancies that can't get over the sound of a beeper or some other minor detail on free, high quality content. Editing takes a lot of time, and you're doing a superb job. Two, actually! Don't let the nay-sayers get you down, I hope you've had a great Christmas and I wish you and your family and coworkers a happy new year.

Well I didn't get to see the video the first time it was uploaded, but having watched it now, I don't see any issues with it. What I see is a young Son learning from his Father. There's nothing more pure than that. Yes, other camera angles are nice to have, and bring the viewer closer to the action. However, what people need to remember here is that you are providing a service for people. You are doing your job, and your job first and for most is to assist people who are in need of help. The video and KZfaq aspect come secondary to completing the job at hand. With that in mind, you shouldn't be worrying about the 'quality' of this video. BTW, I know nothing about the industry you work in. I am from the UK and have had my fair share of being 'recovered' from breakdowns in my lifetime. I simply find your content interesting and for want of a better word, entertaining. - Keep doing what you're doing.

It's a good feeling when your children want to get involved in the family business. My wife and I always told our 3 kids to make a career doing what they love. Our son (the oldest), got a Masters degree in "Historical Preservation". He now works for a worldwide organization that rehabs old buildings for various uses. He's also restoring/updating his first home, which was built in 1890. Our youngest daughter (we have 2), is currently in her second year of college, working to become a forensic scientist. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner, so, daughter got her interest in the medical field from momma. Our oldest daughter, on the other hand was always daddys little shadow. She's a truck driver like me, my dad, and his dad before him! We're very proud of all 3 of them!

Being a father of a young teenage boy myself has taught me one thing. No matter how much we try to stuff in their heads they will learn and grow at their own pace. That’s the ultimate goal when you have kids. Try to make sure they can learn from our mistakes and have a better path then the one we walked. Ethan will be the best recovery guy out there because he’s learning from the best. Kudos Ron, keep him moving forward.

Hey Ethan, I have seen pretty much every video your dad posted and saw you in many of them in the past. It is great to start seeing you again more often and even greater to hear that you are interested in learning more about your dad's work. You are learning from one of the best tow equipment operators I have seen and the most important advice I can give you is to first observe and understand, then ask questions if something is not clear and then become active and hands-on yourself and start rigging and setting things up as being instructed at first, then later on show iniciative and make suggestions during the initial planning stages of a job. Like your dad said, this is a complex job to learn, but you will get better with every job you do and you got the best teacher I could think of. Good luck, always be safe and have a great 2020

I saw the first video and don’t normally comment, I think people need to be more respectful. This man puts a lot of time to give free content for us to watch. As my parents always said to me, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all. I love seeing you work with your son. I remember going to work with my dad as a kid and never worked to this day so hard in my life. I hope your have a great Christmas Ron and a Happy New Year. All the best Patrick Calgary, Ab

Another lovely Video Ron. It is great to see your son wanting to learn, which he will. At least he knows what he wants to do which is so much better than most his age. You must be very proud of him and rightly so. Congratulations to you and your wife for raising a wonderful son :) God Bless to you and your family and all your staff. I would hope that you all had a wonderful and enjoyable Merry Christmas and may I in advance wish you all a wonderful, safe and enjoyable New Year.

Awesome to see Ethan out there learning the family business. This is not a profession for light weights. It’s mentally & physically challenging. Admire your great attitude, no matter what gets thrown at you. Good Bless & keep y’all safe in 2020.

Looks like the Ram lost that head-butting battle! Thanks for the reload; newer subscriber, so I hadn't seen the first posting. I Liked seeing how your truck took the strain of the side pull. Take care out there! May your new year be blessed. From Florida, with respect.

Good job as always Ron! Good to see they are using the fire truck to shift traffic over. We had a wreck in Virginia a couple of months ago on I-95 in the Stoney Creek area where a 18 wheeler ran into the fire truck blocking the right hand lane and knocked the whole cab off of it! Luckily they were no 1st responders Inside the truck at the time.

Don't apologize for the lack of multiple viewpoints. The explanations in text of what you were doing more than made up for it. They cleared up a couple of points I hadn't thought about, like not twisting the bed. I know that your channel isn't a substitute for a good tow operator school, but sometimes it feels like it... Keep up the good work!

Ron I think it is awesome that Ethan wants to follow in his Father and Grandfather in the family business. Yes it is a very dangerous and physically demanding profession and i wish him all the best in his pursuit!! You are lucky to have a 16 yr old that wants to do something other than sit in front of a computer or television!! It was nice to see you both work together. God Bless!!
