Enough of the free stuff to sit at home and do nothing. Get them on the streets, cleaning the roads, rivers, dumping sites, pay them for that.

I fully support you on that nothing for free this R370 must come with conditions if you are staying in urban areas people must wake clean the neighborhood eg Street, parks, rivers, draining system in groups at least once a month per group no able body person can sit and wait for money he/she didn't work for only pensioners, disabled, sick and elders who must get grant.

These academics are a disgrace in the world. Where will this money come from? bring production in SA factories, and open new markets in Africa, train people in artisan skills. People need to work not social welfare crapshoot.

Where did the money that was eaten during COVID solidarity fund came from???, did it reach the poor..? no!..did it go back to capitalists yes...Where did 300 million that was given to advertising agencies during elections came from...why was it not used to improve people's lives...???should I go on???

Now money for basic grants and NHI AND AND AND AND. People want jobs not a basic grants how humiliating. We want merit based employment and making is easier to do business in South Africa. Why do only legal businesses pay tax while unregistered businesses dont pay tax.

From province to province there are closed factories, buildings are idling...open closed mines n create jobs lots of jobs,fix roads, infrastructure,pay those who will be fixing them,do away with tenders n bogus companies that say they look for jobs for the unemployed.employ teachers, police,nurses,porters n so on.

@@not.likely are you even South African have you looked around you or watched the news ? 500+ Qualified medical Doctors were protesting a few months ago about not gaining employment after getting their Qualifications and teachers and other professions are oversaturated like the civil service sector ...I'm one of them with a useless Public Management Diploma

This would require a massive tax increase that would probably cripple the economy. I think it would be a much better policy to lower the unemployment to a around 5% before considering a universal basic income grant. It's also unrealistic to eliminate poverty in 3 years. You have to be realistic.

This is a social issue! Stop extramarital sexual activity .Finish school,study something that will provide you an income.Get married then have children.Parents educate your children in a stable family environment.Stop expecting tax payers to fund poor lifestyle choices.Read Thomas Sowell to learn more.Handouts just perpetuate the problem.Only the elderly deserve help.

Stop self-righteousness,.. some of the people in this country live in townships where every block has a tarven where they sell alcohol that is sold by your companies that you are working for....These are the kids who watch your alcohol ads from the best ad agencies that you are working for...poverty and depression that leads to alcohol dependency , unhealthy foods eaten in the townships pays for that luxury car of yours...so please get over yourself.......

Education is important, but education is a very expensive commodity in this country, majority cannot access education, even the type of educational system is not going to get anyone anywhere, it is bound to breed kids leaving school prematurely.... university is a far dream

Free money for people not earning it is not sustainable. First thing to solve is easier access to get a matric. But if you decide to not take this choice, then you cant complain of not getting a decent job . The inequality is self caused by the parents not understanding that children are a responsibility and not a right. There is a big difference to bring up children with responsibility in the world, than just having children without being able to support them. Its not fair to the child, this young lady is not being realistic.
