At the end of the day, despite all the pretense about history etc, it's just a game about being super fast at putting the crosshair on target.

@@Xcessiver This is the default fallback for the lazy and incompetent who don't build garries. Another one is "I'm just here to have fun", well if your idea of fun is not having a support, not bothering to communicate or co-ordinate with your squadies, then go back to COD, this isn't your game, you're ruining everyone else's fun. I've personally never once had a squad where someone didn't want to play support, because most people play this game specifically for it's cooperative play style, which is a big part of the immersion. I usually end-up driving around in a supply truck spamming garries, because the commander's too lazy/stupid. Some American servers are good, the Yanks get logistics, they'll cap a point and within a minute they've spread out and built a garry in each adjacent square. Here in Australia 99% of players just build one garry in the cap (if at all), where enemy arty and recon can easily find it. They do this because that's what everyone does, and they're too lazy/stupid to actually think about the game dynamics. If you're always spawning inside the cap, there's a good chance the enemy's facing you, you're spawning into the enemy, and you can really only fit one garry close to the cap, given the 200m limit on placement. Building four garrisons, one in each square around the cap, is a vastly superior tactic, because the enemy essentially needs to fight through all the garries to cap the point, if you have team responsive enough to defend, which isn't always the case on a public server. To Wild Bill Jammin, I learnt a lot about the game, particularly commanding, from watching your videos years ago. :)

@@danielhill9080 As someone who used to play a ton back during early access I feel this in my soul. Everyone who played back then were there to communicate and work together, it was a completely different atmosphere. Now most matches I struggle to find players willing to communicate let alone do things like logistics and garri building/ defending. I don't even dare touch commander at this point.

@@redacted5736 Yeah, it's not the level 40 players I despise for not building garries, it's the level >200's. Extremely frustrating, no amount of persuasion works, so far as they're concerned it's someone else's job, a mundane task, ruining their fun. I've no idea why they play the game, tbh. On a side note, if you can afford it, 42" LG C2 + 4090 = >150 fps of next level immersion.

@@redacted5736 I stopped playing commander when I had a teenage boy going in a really snarly, and somewhat nerdy voice, "but we're winning the cap race", "I know but can one squad just secure the perimeter?"... "but we're about to win the cap race". Out comes the reinforce, most of the attackers start doing the, going around the hard cap, not attacking nor defending, just existing strategy.... and we lost the attacking point and our own point. Here's the best part. I heard that same, snarly and nerdy voice go, "why is nobody defending, what the fuck".

I play on all sorts of servers. I used to be a member of EXD when they first started! WTH is another good one or SaucyMuffins server is great also.

Basically the sole reason for that is when your last objective (for example is at the top side of the map, right next to your HQ) starts to get capped by the enemy, the default spawn point at the HQ gets disabled temporarily until you can remove the enemy capping the last objective, then it'll be unlocked. Other than that, if you're still holding the first 4 objectives well, usually you don't have to place one but you can place one just in case.
