My humble prostrations unto Sarasvati Maa - bestower of all cherished desires. I embark on my studies with the request that you will always bless & guide me. (Shlok 2) Sadā Bhavānī dāyinī, ai ki sanamukh Gaurī Ganesh; pānch devā mil rakshā karte, Brahma Vishnu Mahesh. Goddess Bhavani always on the right, in front resides Lord Ganesh; Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh - may these five devas give protection. ------------------- 0. Prathama mānī omkār, devana mānī Māhādev. Gyāna mānī Ganapati, ved mānī Brahmā. (both, 4) First of all, revere the sound Om; among the gods, revere Shiv Baba. Revere Lord Ganesh for learning, and Lord Brahma for knowledge. 1. Vidyā mānī Sarasvatī, nadī mānī Gangā.(3) Tāl to mridang mānī, nritya mānī Rambhā. (both, 2) For wisdom, revere Saraswati Ma; among rivers, respect the Ganges. For rhythm, revere the mridangam; and honor apsara Ramba for dance. Gīt ko sangīt mānī, sangīt ko sur mānī. Sur ko akshār mānī, tāl detā lambā.
