La Naissance d’Osiris (1754) is not a piece written for the opera houses of Paris but for the private court at Fontainebleau. Away from the Paris critics, Rameau was able to experiment with more European styles and a great sense of freedom emanates from these scores - Rameau making his own journey through the culturally diverse world of the Age of Enlightenment.

The opera was really great. Rameau has always been my favourite baroque composer. His music is sublime. the dancing singing and costumes were really great. L'opéra Français est un Art complet puisque la Danse et le chant y occupent une place équivalente ,pour en faire un spectacle total .Par ailleurs dans la danse baroque on remarque que les ports de bras sont extrêmement raffinés .Symbole d'une civilisation Française parvenue à son âge d'Or .

Another gem like "La Guirlande". Great singing and acting soloists. Reinoud van Mechelen is the best Haute-Contre currently. And even Francios Lazarevic comes on stage with his musette ;-) One nice song: " Non, non, une flamme volage" is well known from "Zoroastre".

This is glorious, and Thank God it’s not one of those baroque dukes in perukes productions which, though they titillate one’s sense of grandiosity, can be a bit huffy.

el clavecin es instrumento inútil en este tipo de movimientos, no se le oye en absoluto nadie sabe por qué está presente., está ahogado por el resto de instrumentos como es lógico.
