New style, I hope you enjoy this one! One of my new year's resolutions is to dig deeper into food and let my inner food science geek shine. I've been really loving video-essay style videos on food and wanted to start off the series with one of my favorite foods, ramen. Hope this video is helpful for your next ramen-ya visit or before your trip to japan!
Recipes for ramen components can be found on my website at
www.doobydobap.com/recipes
Search for alkaline noodles, chashu, ramen egg
For stock recipe, try this!
www.thespruceeats.com/easy-ch...
egg whites are not always necessary if you are careful with the temperature of the stock.

@@nochumonchu4547i mean if you work in a kitchen you can lean a lot more than just culinary school, but it also depends what type of food you want to cook, if you want something more to the high end industry i recommend going to school, bc there’s a lot of technical stuff that you learn that could help you along the way

I remember it. Ummm, other than the mother saying to her son, "ぼうし, ぼうし, ぼうし!" when he almost left without his hat, my memories of that movie were....interesting. Can't exactly look at an egg the same way. 😂

This video was so incredibly informative woah. At the end I literally was enchanted by that beautiful bowl of hot ramen. You really made me want to try this recipe for myself and I can’t wait to recreate it beacuse I know that I’ll fall in love with it. You’re delivery is always so high and the fact that you’re able to jump from vlogs around the city, restaurants reviews and more documentary-ish style videos makes me admire you even more. Being a content creator, you’re such an inspiration to me to keep working and filming and I know you are for sure also for other people. You’re literally the top level I want to reach with my cooking. You did amazing Tina, thank you for this video

Great video! However one part I’m confused by is why the egg is being referred to as an ajitama. The meaning of ajitama 味玉 is that it is a flavoured or marinated egg. The one in the video is just a regular soft boiled egg, or a hanjuku tamago 半熟卵. It would be inaccurate to call this an ajitama, or a ramen egg.

I sincerely appreciate how stylized & human your cooking content is. So much of cooking content has gone the way of attention baiting & submitting to “oh I have to do this editing style cause of the algorithm”. It feels like everyone is becoming clones of one another. Your content respects the viewer enough to know we’ll watch if the quality and sincerity is there. If I don’t feel the creators love and appreciation of food, I don’t want it.
