Most Arab men behave in this way, they are very tactile, especially Egyptians. Kissing on both cheeks when greeting is the norm. Opposite mannerisms are always referred to as cold, uptight or English, not to offend the Brits but it is just a proverb we use lol. Egyptians are very spontaneous and care free by nature.

Years ago I worked on the island of Sumatra. On my first day I noticed some of the male security guard holding hands at times when patrolling, which surprised me in such a conservative country. As I got to know the locals it was explained to me that it's normal for male friends to do that, in the same way many females do. Nothing to do with their sexuality. These guys are great by the way. Genius casting.
