a dark villain end is always what i wished in any tv shows or movies what ever! The Night King is so prestige so sad it ended like that way with an unworth death ): if it me the realisator i will do 22Episode cause i will start longue night at episode 4 and should be ended Episode 22 imagine a longue night with a moon light the great wars of white walkers they will shated all cities and 7 kingdoms!! if only cause 6 episodes it not a show for a great show! episode 3 is not a longue night for me it ended in 1 night :D

@@Sineseol there was no death they could give him that wouldnt be stupid. Whether it be Arya, Dany, or Jon. I prefer the book version. No Night King. No deux ex ending. Makes it more sinister. I have never liked the Night King. Unneccessary addition. I actually like that Arya kills his pale ass. Most believable of everyone, but the way they went about it was dumb. Like how she sneak past thousands? Faceless Men dont have invisibility and i cant see how she impersonate a corpse.

Imagine a new and different version of season 8 ending: Winterfell has fallen. The survivors gather at King's Landing, and with the Night King still riding Viserion, burns the city, the walls fall as well. Everyone is trying to fight the dead with anything they can get their hands on. In the aftermath of the battle with the army of the dead having defeated the living people, the Night King, like in that scene with Bran where he walks in slow mo, he now does the same but in the snowy and torched throne room, slowly approaching to the Iron Throne while (1:41) starts to sound, finally sitting on it by 2:30, while the camera shows him like in this poster, watching all the main charachters (Jon, Dany, Sansa, Tyrion, Cersei, Jamie, Arya, etc) with blue eyes, while Viserion roars at the back with his blue flames. *End of Game of Thrones.

Hell yeah dude. Any ending would've been way better than what we've got. But I really like this one. The Night King deserved more, and choosing him to burn King's Landing instead of Daenerys would've been very exciting to see

@@artbyzied the thing is, the problem isn’t in Dany’s death. They just took and made her villain in a one episode. Besides, they sped up all the stuff. That’s more tragical thing. It should’ve been at least 10 seasons.

Does anyone else think this theme really makes Night King feel like a tragic hero? It's so strange. Because we don't know much about him, and he barely expresses any emotion, but his theme is so thoughtful and sad.

It makes me want that Age of Heroes show that was going to star Naomi Watts and Vladimir Futhtik before it got shitcanned by HBO. I mean, I'm happy as fuck that we're getting House of the Dragon, but damn, it would have been awesome as fuck to see the origins of the Night King, the beginnings of the Great Houses, and the start of the legend of the Prince that was Promised. (I get why they canceled it, though. The timeline was too open to interpretation and there was too much magic for HBO to be comfortable with yet)

I like to think he was the precedent Azor Ahai, coming to the conclusion that he sacrified his wife and friends for nothing when he saw humanity becoming like it was before the Long Night : oppressors, murderers, rapists...

This is fantastic. Excellent work. I always saw the night king and the whight walkers in general as a metaphor for climate change. While we're all focused on power, getting rich and trying to one up one another, we're not focused on a bigger threat that can kill us all. All of Westeros should have been wiped out by them with only a few main survivors left. That would have left a bigger impact and a stronger message, but it ended in one night and our main threat was a villain that didn't do shit for two seasons that was killed by a bunch of ruble.

That’s actually George RR Martin’s concept, he said it in an interview. Obviously he doesn’t associate the White Walkers with climate change but he expressed it in such way.

I get the feeling that if the Age of Heroes show had ever been greenlit, it would have been revealed that the Night King was Brandon the Builder's brother, and that his name would have once been Jon Stark.

How badass would it have been if the Night King started walking towards Bran, pulls out his sword, and then as we think he’s about to kill him… He places his sword at Brans feet, kneels and utters the first words we hear of him: “My king” Bran smiles as screen fades to black.

@@artbyzied Arya goes to kill the Night King in the next episode. Before the Night King can kill her, Bran says to stop and that she can be useful…then we see exactly how Bran and the Night King became allys through an episode of flashbacks
