@sanmateo-bt7ww No one is forcing him to sell to these guys. It's the same for selling almost anything. If you sell private you make more than selling to a retailer who has to worry about their own markup and overhead such as rent, wages, marketing, etc. So no, they're not really ripping him off, he's making the choice to sacrifice some of his potential profit for the convenience of not having to do all the legwork to make the sale.

I get peoples comments on "how can someone pay 4k for a pair of sneakers or shoes" but honestly these guys are collectors and like anything that is collected, look up the crazy things people collect, they make the market for the prices. Im not a sneakerhead but i know enough to know how big they get into these things. I cant really say anything i collected Magic the gathering cards for years and paid more then most people would consider sane for certain cardboard cards lol.
