Always glad to find people to find out the Rabbit hole of Rammstein. I were in Highschool once I first heard them and if I remember correctly I saw them live in 1999 for the first time.. and though amazing this performance would be "lame" comparet to what they do today.. :D Regarding the one with the red arms outfit that you liked: he have a side-project band called "Emigrate" and a good first song would be "Eat you alive" IMO.. and then "War". The singer also do alot of solo projects that are very wierd.. If you searched for him "Till Lindemann" perhaps I would say "Fish on" or "Steh auf" would be a good intro to his work and then you would be good (if your parents ain't looking) you could go for "Knebel" ;) As before.. glad to see that you find this gem. Best performance of their song... and they still do the pyro to this day -but better and larger. I really hope you go down the rabbit hole -because I think many MANY more Rammstein fans will show up and lift you up my brother. Have a nice day.

This is by far not their craziest fireworks or the most badass performance. You gotta love Rammstein. They all know their way around pyro but Till the singer is a professional pyrotechnician so there is nothing they will not shoot fire out of and there is no safe space on that stage. The theatrics are hilarious and the lyrics often very deep and full of double meaning. It is really worth having a closer look at Rammstein. The story of this song is easy: she asked him to marry her and he said nothing because he doesn´t want to and now she hates him. But the way they tell it - misleading You with every line where the story is going... just great

don't be scared to go to their concert, it is the best show in the world, arguably the best ever. no other band or artist comes even close. there is a time lapse video of the building of the stage they use in their tours, check it out. and then watch a couple of the live videos of the '22 or '23 tours and see the stage in action.

Welcome to the rabbit hole of Rammstein. Their shows are literally fire ... not just in this song. Lyrics of "Du hast" in a nutshell: The first three words are "Du hast mich" (you have me) which at that moment doesn't make any sense in German. But it sounds (intentionally) the same as "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). Later in the song, the first three words are extended to a full sentence: "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." (You asked me and I did not answer.) And then, to show what he was asked, the chorus is a wedding vow: "Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" (Do you want to be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) This is answered first by a kind of female voice "Ja" (yes) and afterwards by Till's harsh voice "Nein!" (No!). These - plus a slightly obscene word play on the wedding vow, that I will not explain here - are the whole lyrics (repeated a few times). As mentioned in the "making of" of that song it's about the connection within the band. They never had a line-up change since their start in 1994. Till is also certified in pyrotechnics design so he can create them but the whole band is certified to be around them when set off. The stuff on their skin is flame retardant they all are wearing. Comparatively they are kind of light on the pyrotechnics for this one but still awesome

In German, "hast/hasst" is also a Play on Words! In German, Du hast or Du hasst is not clear without the following Content! You only know whether Du hast (You have) or Du hasst (You hate) is meant in relation to the following Text! ……. you have asked me, only now it is clear that ….. du hast mich gefragt (You have ask me) is meant! When I heard the Song for the first Time I thought Rammstein probably meant Du hasst (You hate), only when I heard the following Verse did I realize that you have it meant! Hast and hasst are two Words that Sound the same in German! No German can tell just by hearing (Du hast/hasst) what is meant! It only becomes clear in Context and from the Spelling!
