Have you done a reaction to the live version of Bück Dich yet? If not, you really should. It is one of their older ones and has a hard, pounding riff. But be warned: it has some X-rated imagery and bondage theme, definitely not something for kids to watch. This daring stage show almost got them banned in the US. “You are what you eat” has a whole new meaning after this song. I see everyone has started filling him in on the story behind the song.. The man who committed the cannibalism in real life (with the “voluntary” victim) filmed it and the jury was so disturbed and disgusted, a lot of them couldn’t finish watching it. The victim knew the man wanted to eat him and agreed to meet (though I don’t think at the time he fully understood or was in his right mind). A Fascinating horrific disturbingly gruesome story that peaked my morbid curiosity.

If its the same story I read, dude had one volunteer before but guy changed his mind and left. His first and only victim indeed agreed to it, they came in contact online chat rooms dedicated to cannibals, in early stages of Internet. They ate the guys penis together, but I forgot who asked to try it. Kinda hilarious fact, man is in jail and is vegetarian, which kinda makes sense as he wanted to eat meat with consent and animals can't give it

Jup, also true fact: The victim was in full agreement with his killer and wanted the flesh to be torn of with the teeth. Since that didn't work they switched to a knife. Not sure who of them both was the more f'ed up one ... The Song is called "Mein Teil" cause they ate his weener first.

@@tommygunraw_6566 Additional fact: There was a video used in his the trial. The victim demanded to be filmed, and the cannibal obliged. He's also the one who made it kinky. The cannibal was going to consensually give him an overdose of sleeping pills and butcher him once unconcious. The victim disagreed, he insisted on being concious, being unmanned and then consuming said meat himself. The video documented everything from the first cut (the member) to the almost drained of blood but still living victim being hung on a meathook. In between the video showed the victim ordering the cannibal around who submissively gave in to all his vitims demands, even after cutting him up. He even burned the penis because he was so nervous and busy running a bath for the victim. They fed it to the dog because it was 'too tough to chew'. The victim was very upset about that and shouted his murderer into submission for it. The guy cried throughout while he proceeded to stab the victim on demand. Fun fact: Cannibal-guy has since become a vegetarian and promotes people who struggle withsimilar fantasies as he does to go get help for their own sake and everyone elses. Overall standout prisoner and good guy. He only became a vegetarian because he didn't want to forget his human meat experience though, so that's another thing.

“Mein Teil” can be translated to my part/thing. It refers to the male body part which was cut off in this real case of cannibalism which happened in 2001 in Germany. The voluntary!!! victim met with his killer to be eaten alive. They cut of his pe**s (don’t want to be blocked) first and tried to eat it, fried it but it was too tough to eat… Later he was killed and parts of him were eaten by Armin Meiwes, who is known as the Rotenburg Cannibal or the Master Butcher.

We actually had to learn about the subject of this song in my ethics class. The short version is that some guy put out an ad looking for someone to let him eat them. Some guy saw the ad and actually agreed as long as they cut off his penis first so he could also consume it (i believe) The guy who responded to the ad ended up taking his own life on video (so they knew it was voluntary and not murder) and then the original guy ate the volunteer. It was a big issue because at the time (if I remember correctly) Germany didn't have laws like the US so he didn't actually commit a major crime or anything. If I remember correctly I think the only thing they could charge him with was animal cruelty or something like that

Bernd Brandes, the consensual victim, was killed by Meiwes. Meiwes was originally convicted of manslaughter as Brandes was a voluntary victim. He was eventually re-tried and convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. The laws on murder and manslaughter in Europe and the US are very similar, it's just the sentencing guidelines that are different.

Ahhahah Epic! Always a good time with these monsters of live shows. The conclusion we get is Flake is immortal, at this point they tried everything to kill him. Try the the song with one of the greatest, heaviest and crunchiest riffs of all time: "Sonne" live in 2019. One of their biggest bangers and more fire than a room in Hell. Peace.

I really like your reactions. I got two recommandations for you: there is a great Version of Mein Herz brennt (piano Version) official video. The Scars you see on Till are real, he cut himself before making the Video to make it look more realistic. Its insane but soooooo good, you will like thtat Version with him wearing a Dress :) ... Since you really like Rammstein, i would love you to react to a cover of Rammstein. I am talking about the Song Seemann. In youtube you can check for Apocalyptica - 'Seemann' feat. Nina Hagen (Official Video) (Rammstein Cover). Nina Hagen can sing even deaper than Till and is the perfect Match as a Female SInger for Rammstein Songs. This is what inspired Til to rite this song:: is a former German computer repair technician who achieved international attention for killing and eating a voluntary victim in 2001, whom he had found via the Internet. After Meiwes and the victim jointly attempted to eat the victim's severed penis, Meiwes killed his victim and proceeded to eat a large amount of his flesh. He was arrested in December 2002. In January 2004, Meiwes was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to eight years and six months in prison. In a retrial in May 2006, he was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. Because of his acts, Meiwes is also known as the Rotenburg Cannibal or .

In Dutch a 'teil' is a big tub. Just like the one Flake sits in. If it's the same in German then this song title has a double play on words. When he sings ''mein teil'' he does point at it sometimes. So it could be true.

"Mein Teil" in german means "my part", and if I remember correctly it is specified as "my private parts", as the cannibal in this song eats his own... well... private parts, fighting unconsciousness and convulsions

A lot of Rammstein songs are picking up recent events which are questionable for let's call it the behavior of human mankind. This one is about a cannibal (Mein Teil), another one (Wiener Blut) is about a man (Josef Fritzl) who kept his daugther 24 years in his cellar, captured, and had 8 children with her...so stories were you would say they are scripted and could only happen in movies but sadly happened in reality - and Rammstein picks it up as a critic. Some other songs are based on written lyric/poetry and other on historical events.

I hope you got the translated lyrics. The story behind it is absolutely gruesome, as are the lyrics themselves. So be careful you don't read out this stuff while kids are around. Because the crime behind it was real, as was the content of the song, at least basically. Obviously the band did not commit the crime; but they commemorated it in this song.

Basically it's a story that actually happened, someone asked if he could eat someone on a newspaper and a guy actually agreed to do so, the thing is, the guy wanted to eat the d*** with the victim, mein teil means my d***. In the song he talks about this guy loosing a lot of blood but his "food" is well cooked and well served so it's fine right? Haha

Its more like a shock song, but just musicaly seen not one of theyr best. In my opinion they have way better songs like "keine lust", "mein herz brennt", "dalai lama", "mann gegen mann", "sonne" you can rly put in your everyday playlist and enjoy the music.
