German band just got 17,000 people in Paris to recite the song in German... awesome

They are German and are so good that break the language barrier and people listen to them all over the world. This song is a play on the wedding vows where they ask him if he will be with her and faithful for ever and he is saying Nein. Or in English No.

They are popular because of the live shows, they do all the theatrics, pyrotechnics (THis song is actually tame compared to some songs) and heavily on the show because they knew most people won't understand the lyrics as they sing in their native German so the show is to entertain the audience. The keyboardist (Flake) is on a treadmill because he has endless energy and it allows him to burn it since the pyrotechnics makes it hard for him to roam around. IF you look up their music videos, they spend large amounts on filming those, may are at movie level production. I have been to quite a few concerts and taken people who this isn't there genre or aware who they are, but its been consistent reaction that their concerts are the best they have ever been to.

Just a tip if you do react to anymore Rammstein is to take a look at the English translation of the lyrics so you get an idea what they are talking about. Their topics are often deep and have double meanings and it really helps to enjoy the show when you understand. Du Hast can mean You have or You hate depending on the context. The lead singer, Till is a certified pyrotechnician which is why they are allowed to do a lot of the stuff you see in their live shows and the red stuff he is covered with is fire retardant gel, the band members know exactly where they need to stand to avoid any accidents happening - their shows are artwork in motion!

If you want to see more fire, watch their live shows of Feuer Frei and Sonne. The first three rows of their shows are called hot seats.

I think seeing these guys live should be on everybody's bucket list. Most amazing experience you can have with your clothes on!!! I became a fan in about 1995/6 when they were pretty new and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow. Best band ever IMO.
