guys, i dont know if you already did but you have to check the making-of from this video to check where you guys were right about your conclusions. As far as i know youre fairly spot on but it still might be worth checking out, all their making-of´s are very intresting and lead you both through the creative and the technical process, i think there are about 4 or 5 on youtube.

This song was made as walk in song for Vitali Klitschko wich he finaly not used. Thats why they count to ten. And they count the whole song to diffrent numbers. And at the end they reach ten and then it is out.

Just FYI: When you wondered about blackface if the video came out today if they could afford to post it like this. In Europe there is no concept of blackface as discrimination against black people... For a European it would be exclusively what it is, a man with dirt on his face because he is a miner. Anyway great reaction!

This video is one of the best examples of how different a Rammstein video can be to the meaning of the lyrics. Or better how many meanings it can portray. The lyrics basically are about a box fight and the sun symbolizes the pain in your face ones you get hit. That's why they count down, that's why they sing parts like "will never fall from skies" (it can't, it's not really the sun), or "when it breaks out of the fists, shines bright into your face".

The song is not so serious, it was written as a ring march for Vitali Klitschko. They just sing, that Klitschko is the Sun and the brightest star of all. That the sun comes out of his eyes and hands and won´t go down tonight. cheers from Germany to the north 😘

I think the point of the apple shattering the glass isn't really the important part. The message is more like, Sleeping Beauty wakes up, like she does in the story, but in this version, all it means is that the toxic relationship between her and the dwarves who live to feed her sickness, continues on. That is my interpretation at least.

to the apple, if i remember correctly, in the original fairy tale, the stepmother gave snow white a poisoned apple. However, she didn't swallow it, it got stuck in her throat so that she couldn't breathe and fainted. the dwarfs thought she was dead and wanted to bury her. On the way, however, someone dropped the coffin and the vibration broke the piece of apple free so that Snow White could breathe again. Someone correct me if I'm confusing something, it's been about 40 years.

Yes, but there was the prince. He asks the dwarves to give him the coffin with the beautiful king's daughter, because he can no longer live without seeing her. Out of pity, the dwarfs give him Snow White with a heavy heart. But when the coffin is carried to his castle, one of the servants stumbles and the coffin falls to the ground. The impact causes the poisonous apple piece to slip from Snow White's neck. She awakens, and the prince and Snow White hold a wedding, to which the evil queen is also invited. Full of curiosity as to who the young queen is whose beauty the mirror told her about, she appears, recognizes Snow White and, as punishment for her deeds, has to dance in red-hot iron slippers until she collapses dead.

The woman was not on the set during the video shoot. Flake once reported what happened after the video shoot. The band was pressed for time and urgently needed to catch the plane to Australia to join the Big Day Out tour. Anyway, the band members' makeup was not properly removed and they boarded the plane to America as dirty as they were. With their black dyed hair they soiled the seats on the plane, but were lucky that the flight attendants showed understanding when they explained this to them. Less understanding was shown by the aircrew that was supposed to bring the band from the USA to Australia.

You should see the making of - really a lot of interesting stuff! I really liked it how Till lipsynced to the song played at 50% speed to emphasize the effect of vibrations of the pneumatic hammer. BTW, they did just the opposite while making video for "Amerika" 😉 But the most impressive thing for me was how many ideas they had for this video - one of them was the band members as Enola Gay crew, on their way to drop the bomb on Hiroshima. Oh my, I can just imagine how insane that would be! ♥ How about reacting to "Mann Gegen Mann" official video? Have a great day!

The video was made after the song came out and the original idea for it was them being the crew of the Hiroshima bomber. (And the bomb being the sun) But they changed it because it was too controversal.

The song was originally intended for Klitschko's run-in to a boxing match. If you read the lyrics, it also becomes clear / logical. The sun = Klitschko.

I'm french, it is an obscure reproduction of Germany, the black character seems to represent it, when she cuts off the head of a man in front of Roman legionnaires. Rome failed to conquer Germany and Germany followed a different path in Europe leading to the Nazis. when she kisses the severed head she shows that ultimately she should have submitted to Rome and not committed the horrors they did. note that the rockets are V2s and that the German scientists who worked on them went to the United States and are responsible for the atomic bomb and the Apollo project

i dont think its GOLD that shes snorting and shootin up.. cause GOLD is non toxic.. infact it even has a DETOX effect .. i think she was using PIXIE dust. and she probably made teh dwarves catch the fairies for it too which they dont show in the video of course.. that would be too brutal .^^
