У Rammstein достаточно песен про любовно-сексуальную тему - *Amour, Du Riechst So Gut, Klavier, Stein Um Stein, Herzelied, Bestrafe Mich, Kuss Mich, Was Ich Liebe, Feuer Und Wasser, Wo Bist Du, Rein Raus, Te Quiero Puta, Stripped* и др. Меня огорчает, что их практически не слушают или не используют где-либо.

The sheer terror and power of this song keeps on capturing me for years now. I can barely comprehend how incredibly the text fits the music and vocals. As horrible as the depicted message is, this still represents a pure instance of a perfect song to me. Brings tears to my eyes every single damn time. I'm so fucking sorry for anyone subject to what is sung about. This song REALLY manages to convey the blatant brutality involved. I'm amazed, terrified and enchanted by this piece all at once - and that combined with a perfect sound is what makes a song for me. A true and profound classic imho.

I'm assuming this is about domestic abuse? Some particularly awful kind I'd imagine, if Rammstein's subject matter is anything to go on.

@@nebojsag.5871 Not directly the physical form of it, which makes it even stronger. He sings about enclosing someone in the bricks of his house in great detail, but that is of course not what he means. I see it as a metaphor for making someone mentally imprisoned to their partner, that will wall them off by any means possible, physical violence not excluded, but also not directly implied. Almost as if it wouldn't even be necessary. (Except for the part where he mentiones driving nails into your "Leibholz" (="body wood", meaning flesh) near the climax of the song, but I almost feel like this part is mostly in there for the "pun".) The phrase "Stein um Stein" (stone by stone) is also a German expression for something happening gradually in small steps. This implies a malicious "greater" plan that might go on for years, building towards this mental enclosure very deliberately and consistently. Like a machine inching itself into your brain at a stunningly slow but steady pace, so you wouldn't feel the pain all at once. He poses as the biggest monster anyone could fear for in a relationship, and creeplily sings about it as if he is creating something beautiful (in his eyes only) and protective in the verses, with the refrain's powerfull outburst showing glimpses of the insanity required to be this way. It is a really finely crafted match of text and sound. Would I have been affected by such circumstances, I probably could not listen to it.

vielleicht, weil die songs seinerzeit am album sehnsucht gemessen wurden und nicht als neu gesehen werden wollten. so jedenfalls bei mir gewesen. vergessen jedoch nie und stets als einziges allein gehört.

they recorded those albums in one session. they even wanted to release them like a double album, but the recording company decided to put 2 different releases

@@cactus3677 by the way, the cover artwork on both albums - also the same. Reise Reise used close-up photos from a ship for art and booklets. and Rosenrot - the whole picture of that rusted ship. So, in all ways Rosenrot it's kinda continuation of Reise Reise.

@@DimitriyPavlovskiy wait isn't the cover of Reise reise a cockpit voice recorder? It clearly says ,,Flugrekorder, nicht öffnen" which means ,,Flight recorder, do not open". I do know however that the cover art released in Japan was actually a picture of the ship that was later used for Rosenrot. Maybe you mixed those two up?
