Mariano and Rampage have risen through the stakes together, documenting their epic journeys through tantalizing poker vlogs. But everyone knows that you should set your friendships aside at the poker table! So let us see who won when these two poker vlogging titans clashed in this crazy hand at The Lodge Card Club!
When you are playing deep-stacked poker with your opponents, you should often be very aggressive in spots where your range can often contain the nuts.
Ethan Yau, a.k.a Rampage, is a popular KZfaqr and poker player. He has over 280,000 subscribers on KZfaq and has won over $2,300,000 in poker tournaments, including his largest score of $900,000 which was a win in a World Poker Tour (WPT) High Roller at the Wynn.
Mariano is a professional poker player from America. He regularly features on the Hustler Casino Live stream but has started to make more of an appearance on The Lodge Card Club stream. He also has a popular poker KZfaq channel with over 151,000 subscribers.
In early 2022, poker professionals Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme joined forces to acquire a controlling stake in The Lodge Poker Club & Card Room, which happens to be the largest poker establishment in Austin, Texas. This exclusive poker club, accessible only to its members, boasts an impressive array of amenities, including over 80 poker tables of cash games and tournaments, operating around-the-clock. Additionally, The Lodge provides an inviting ambiance with 40 large-screen TVs, allowing poker club members to enjoy sports entertainment while playing poker or while relaxing in the cozy waiting area. The live poker stream includes commentary from Skull Mike and Slick Rick, who have been long-time regulars at The Lodge. They provide viewers with strategic poker insights, complemented by a perfect blend of humor.
The Lodge Live Stream has had a variety of different poker players coming to play on stream, these include; Doug Polk ‘WCGRider’, Alex Foxen, Dan Cates ‘Jungleman’, Ben Lamb, Bill Perkins, Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, and Nik Airball.
🔍 Pre-Flop Drama:
In the hijack position, Mariano decides to limp in with 53 of spades after it folds to him. Taras, holding AJo decides to raise to $700 from the cutoff. Rampage, armed with KJo, decides to 3-bet to $2,400. Yoochan, looks down at pocket nines from the straddle, and opts to cold-call, prompting Mariano to join with his low suited one-gapper. Taras folds and gets out of the way as they head to the flop three-way.
💸 Flop - Jc 7c 6c:
The monotone flop is checked by Yoochan with an underpair to the board. Mariano is next to act and fires out a bet of $4,000. Rampage isn’t going anywhere with top pair king-kicker as he calls, while Yoochan gets out of the way as the two poker vloggers go heads-up to the turn.
💣 Turn - 8c:
The 8 of clubs is the fourth club to hit the board. This time Mariano slows down and checks to Rampage who follows suit and checks back to see a river.
🌊 River - 6s:
The river is a board-pairing 6 of spades. Mariano knows if he checks he will not only forfeit the pot to Rampage, but he will also lose the stand-up game and have to pay out a forfeit to each player at the poker table. Knowing this, Mariano fires out a bet of $8,000, which is just shy of half-pot. But how will Rampage respond? He only has a pair of jacks on such a wet board. Will he call, fold, or raise? Stay tuned to the end of this insane poker video to find out!
Jonathan Little analyzes live poker hands from TV poker shows such as Poker After Dark, Hustler Casino Live, The Lodge Poker Club & PokerGO. He also analyzes popular poker vloggers such as Rampage Poker, Brad Owen, Jaman Burton, Ashley Sleeth, Wolfgang Poker and others!
You will also find many poker hands on this channel that contain some of the biggest names in the poker world such as; Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Doug Polk, Garrett Adelstein, Tom ‘Durrrr’ Dwan, Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates, Fedor Holz & many more!

Both equally bad.playing 35s in a limp 3bet pot deserve to be punish. Rampage is way over bluffing. If he is confident his opponent way over fold. At least rampage play better.

I don't' understand his move on the end though....if he's raising with this hand he's either a) putting Mariano on an inferior hand or b) Trying to get mariano to fold a better hand. But what would Mariano limp/call a 4 bet with in this scenario that is better than Rampage's top pair? The only logical answer would be a straight or a flush, as we know he's NEVER folding a full house on this river (if he had 67 or 68. He would have raised preflop with 77, 66, or 88). So the question is what do you stand to gain from the raise here? If you suspect you're good, why not just call it down and showdown? By raising you're now giving Mariano the chance to come over the top and put YOU to the test with your top pair. Seems a bit risky to go for "thin value" on a river where you're either way ahead of your opponent or way behind.

I mean like the commentary said...Mariano can have a hand with a club in it that is lower than the jack. Neither player wanted to lose the hand and pay the table for the nit game. I don't believe that Rampage knew his pair of jacks were good. He was just bluffing, because he knew Mariano probably didn't have a nutted hand after the check on the turn.
