+Ola Englund Is there a chance you would do a tutorial on how you go about EQing amps? The tone you pulled out of this amp is proof that you can make anything usable. I spend hours trying to dial my amp in, so I'd appreciate some pointers!

That was the advertisement from Randall but i dont think Dime even used these things. I think he kept on running the Randall rg100 and century after this.

@@BigTyronie 15s fart out a whole lot more than 12s. Just sayin... There's a reason why pretty much every pro bassist out there uses 10" speakers. The bigger the cone is, the flubbier the lower-frequencies get. Harder to keep a big cone under control than it is with a smaller one.

I had one of the cabs for these back in the day. It honestly made any amp I put behind it sound amazing. After seeing this demo, I'm not sure if it could make the warhead sound amazing.

Ola, that was a great demonstration of the Warhead. I have one myself, and I never use the red channel; I just put my guitar through an MXR fullbore metal into the clean channel. The amp isn't quite as bad-sounding as a lot of people say, but you are correct when you say "tweaker's nightmare"; it really is a pain in the ass to dial it in. But once it gets there, it's not so bad! You got some good tones out of it, too. Nice job! \m/

Thanks Ola, this mirrors the WTF experience I had with the amp back in the day. I wasn't crazy, it really did sound horrible, and I similarly tried it in the shop with a signature Washburn.

Hey Ola , you do all these awesome videos on all the Greatest guitarists ever , I've been really getting into some old Savatage stuff and I think Criss Olivas tone was so one of a kind, idk why he isnt talked more about , Island of sirens ? Hall of mountain King ? Common man do a Savatage tone !!!!!

Sounds pretty good with the pedals. I think the guitarist from Maximum the Hormone has used one of these throughout their whole career and it seems to work for him.

I am torn on the premise of that amp. One half it sounds like a cash grab other half is recognizing that the designer of the 100es and Dime's tech design the amp so it might be good for people that want the now rare 100es amps.

The thing with this amp is that the parametric eq acted as the PQ4, and the graphic eq was to give the tone the final shape

I think this problem is only with the 2nd release versions not the USA builds (power switch on back) that came out first. Mine if dialed in right (which takes patience to achieve) sounds spot on with dimes tone.

Your settings sounded the best and closest to his tone - I would be pretty sad to get that amp and those regular settings and it sounded like that, haha. Especially for a Randall.. they always kick ass. The 2nd setting didn't sound too bad after you added the pedals and turned up the mids a bit -. I imagine without the pedals you saved our ears turning that moosh down - mustve been worse in the room.. it was so washed out.. Was cool how you turned something not so use-able into something very use-able easily.

Dime scooped the normal eq and boosted mids on graphic. He stated that when he used Warhead he pretty much pluged straight into it

The Warhead sounded great on DamagePlan's "Save Me" music video.... assuming he REALLY recorded it with the warhead... who knows... His earlier SS tone with the RG head and equalizers / doublers was the classic dimebag tone we all remember most!

Dimebag may not have had the best taste when it came to guitar tone, but he MORE than made for it with pure, raw talent!

This is not his tone. Dime's tone is the best metal tone, aggressively cutting (vulgar/trendkill are his best tones in terms of studio releases).

Try to do a review of the BOSS Metal Zone 2 MT-2 It's a great pedal for distortion and you can dial in that scoop u want. My opinion well worth the extra on the price tag . Love that Dimebag like guitar tone, and great channel been loving it.
