This feisty and festive holiday work finds our titular anti-hero taking to the seas to spread his brand of holiday mayhem. Written in a jaunty 3/4 time, Chapter 2 of the ""Santa the Barbarian Saga"" evokes both yuletide cheer and danger on the high seas as our jolly old elf and his pirates pillage, plunder, and bring the spirit of the season to anyone unlucky enough to cross their paths. Incorporating numerous familiar tunes (Jolly Old St. Nicholas, I Saw Three Ships, Ukrainian Bell Carol, and more) into the style of seas chanties, this work for Narrator and Concert Band is sure to be the talk of your next winter concert! Rated ARRRRRRGH!

My friends and I actually love this song. The narration at the beginning and the *Shout and Stomp!* parts are just so perfect. I get to play French Horn on this masterful song, something I've never played before (trumpet/keyboard main), and it's VERY fun. This is how my bandmates who don't know my KZfaq channel will find my KZfaq channel, and I'm kinda alright with that.

thing i love about the santa the barbarian pieces is that each family gets a part, and low brass gets to play in the second half what high brass played in the first half of the piece

I played this last year with my best friend (and still) Kobey, when I tell you trombones had so many parts and we CARRIED are low brass section, hands down my favorite piece I’ve played yet thank you Randell for making this a burning memory I’ll never forget

Just imagine your a random middle school PE teacher and you hear a girl start screaming like a pirate. trust me, i'm going to raise the dead from their watery graves with that this winter concert

For my school, it's truly an honor to play such a majestic track like this. It feels orchestral and correctly pronounced musically speaking for Christmas. I like the reference to the first santa the barbarian song with the transition, and how it has this 6/8 feel without having to teach kids to read 6/8 music (which is just annoying to read in general)
