Also in that video that Bethesda showed the moon rover they said the hard work of adding "vehicles" I'm thinking they may also be customizable like ships/dwellings

My X-Box Showcase Predictions: Opener: Gears 6 followed by Gears Collection (if there really is one), Xbox Game Studio Block: Perfekt Dark, maybe new Everwild Trailer, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 3, First Forza Horizon 6 Trailer (Release Spring 2026), Avowed. Bethesda: Fallout 76, Trailer New Online Game, Shattered Space, Indiana Jones, Eso, Doom. Global Publishing: Pal World, Towerborne, 33 Immortals, Ara History, Contraband and the Show Closer Banjo-Kazooie (Play Tonic). Third Party very Japanese heavy.....something Final Fantasy related, Sega/Atlus. Acti-Bliz: Announcments Game Pass Games this year. Cheers 😉

I would buy banjo! Digital, physical, collectors edition too. I grew up w banjo tooie on 64 and shortly after a school friend traded me banjo kazooie I was amazed it was the first game cuz I thought tooie was the only game.. I was a kid lol but I have incredible nostalgia for these games & they deserve a remaster like crash/spyro! If xbox rly wants family friendly games they should remaster those 2 & keep it going make banjo 4, 5, 6 etc. What a perfect xbox mascot for children worldwide a goofy bear & peckish bird and you have that legacy behind it. My legacy, I am a banjo bro! The roots run deep 🐻 🐦

Deadpool is already backwards compatible. It sucks though. There are no graphical or performance upgrades with it and it pauses for a sec every 30-45 seconds or so. I heard playing it offline fixes the issue but either way, it's probably best to just play it on a 360.

What's the point of saying metacritic doesn't determine if a game does well sales wise, but then immediately not even a second later say that metacritic influences people by word of mouth. That's literally saying the same thing by metacritic influencing people by word of mouth. That is it directly affecting a games sales.

I think what they're trying to say is if your game scores high on metacritic it will do well sales wise ( generally ), but that isn't because people are looking at metacritic..it's because the game is good. Basically metacritic scores don't generally lie. It's spot on more or less in deciding if a game is good or not. Nobody went to check out Baulders Gate 3 metacritic to buy it or not, they likely heard it via word of mouth which coincides with the metacritic score.

@@spectrexr1 It's sales primarily came from PCs so I wouldn't attribute it doing well to consoles. You're right about the 3rd act but for many people that wasn't enough to detract from the games overall quality.

Metacritic is just a collection of good/mid/bad reviews, but they don’t hire writers to give their own reviews on all of the games. So Jez is saying Metacritic might be a predictor, not an influencer. Publishers like seeing a lot of review data all in one place, and love it even more if the overall scores are good. Meanwhile all of their customers are not going to Metacritic to decide whether to buy a game. Instead he believes any word-of-mouth from reviews is more likely from specific reviews than from the aggregate score listed on Metacritic.Maybe that’s true. Anecdotally, I might check with a few of my trusted reviewers but I *DO NOT* go to Metacritic to see the average score the way publishers do.

Did the Microsoft games charting currently on NPD, chart at the time when they were only released on Xbox/PC? Because if not, that does say a lot about the buying habit of Xbox users and why microsoft is going multi platform

Games always chart on steam, but it’s only the big AAA games that chart on Xbox like Halo, Starfield, Forza etc

⁠@@JstBringItcorrect me if I am wrong but I believe Steam numbers are counted on NPD. If their lesser known games are charting this time around due to putting them multi platform when they never did initially. This further proves that Xbox users aren’t buying games and Microsoft has to be thinking what will happen when that put their big triple AAA games multi platform.

I don’t believe PlayStation is putting single player games on pc to drive support for the PlayStation only sequel. God of war and horizon won’t have sequels for quite a while, but the latest games are already on pc. Uncharted is a dormant franchise and the games are on pc. I think they want to make more money on game sales, and they aren’t expecting to lose PlayStation customers to the pc market. But in my opinion, it’s definitely going to have an impact on console growth.

The whole thing about people buying game pass playing hellblade, then canceling game pass and getting a full refund that doesn't get fixed with making the subscriber length longer. Because if you're allowed to cancel it at all then it would just cancel all 3 months and if it's still within a certain window you would still get a refund. Increasing the length and price of the initial subscription doesn't change the exploit. It would probably have to be a amount of time played situation. If you played 5 hours worth of play time on game pass games, then you can't get a full refund. Means if you played 2 hours in this game and then you switched to 2 hours in another game then played 1 hour in a different game that would still be 5 hours total played of game pass titles which would make you no longer eligible for a refund. And before anyone argue, the hours can be whatever we think is logical. The point still stands.

Honestly a good rule is to avoid so cal in May and June very cold and gloomy. People don’t realize how cloudy it is here. All year it was like cold rainy but June and May are always like that.

Online multi-player is tethered to the Core tier of Gamepass. Hell, they created the tier just to keep online multi-player costs alive. I'm a bit shocked that you two wouldn't know this.

The catch for COD is, you only get single player on Game Pass console because that sub doesnt include online play. The entire game is defacto only on the Ultimate tier if played on an Xbox console.

@Blacktone91 - Lolol yes totally out do touch. EA, Ubisoft, Bethesda, and even Activision/Blizzard all tried having exclusives on their FREE digital platforms, but still came crawling back to Steam. Epic has tried having exclusives on their FREE digital platform, but are failing miserably. CDProject and Rockstar have tried having their own FREE digital platforms, but neither come anywhere close to Steam. But somehow, Sony is going to use the same tactic as those other companies that failed miserably to entice PC players to spend $500? Jez is right, there’s no chance the execs at Sony truly believe what they’re saying.

Chasing younger audiences...the entire e- industry has been chasing Millennials and Gen Z for the last 19 years, and pretty much ruined most franchises and fandoms in the process to do so. The last thing the gaming industry has done is focusing on their core. o.g customers, (36 y old males and older) who still outplay and out spent every demographic. While the younger generations just like the o.g. gamers have retreated into older games that are free of identity politics and all that other activist ESG/DEI bs; they thought the younger generations were interested in. As long as the industry still bows down to activist and ESG/DEI and and lets their games made by activist dev teams and dito consultancy; Im not holding my breath we are actually getting good games. And than Im not even talking about the fact games today are more about various ways of monetization than being actual good video games. Luckily we are close to another crash, and it cant come soon enough and hopefully dwarves the 1983 one.

you would need a EXPENSIVE playstation TIER too if cod game to PS+ you would need EXTRA or premium ANYWAY to get online AND THE GAME for console TIERs. PS base is 10gms + online PS paying SUBSCRIPTION ANDD 75$ or 100$... WOW. This is AWESOME JUST WITH GAMEPASS lowest tier I get NEW black ops 6 COD single-player JUST WITH gamepass MULTIPLAYER tier.. I get COD FREE and multiplayer THIS IS A HUGE WIN.. we STILL get 100+ game pass games added to our library 2024,Palworld+100gms+.... 10+ HUGE EXCLUSIVES? O.o. AND+ COD BLACK OPS 6 all 2024 game PASS .. WHAT!!?
