18 years ago a total stranger told me that I looked fabulous on a day when I was feeling fat & ugly, she totally made my day! Ever since I also tell total Strangers how good they look as I know how powerful words can be. Spread happiness, it costs nothing

I suffer from severe depression. One time I was feeling very down and had been fighting suicidal thoughts, when I walked the city and a random stranger who walked past me gave me the most unexpected and most genuine smile, I've ever received. It was so beautiful, it made me tear up and actually everytime I think of it, I start crying again. From this day on I knew, how important smiles can be. And even if I often feel down, I try to give people a smile every now and then. If they smile back, this always makes me happy.

I have had such much kindness my way. I have had my groceries paid for twice and one time this man paid for my kids school clothes. I am blessed. There are kind people in this world. I know.

During the height of the pandemic I was wrapping up my shift at my job at a retail store I bought some lunch and the man who I never met took my food a paid for it. I was shocked surprised and grateful.

I love your videos - I start the day by watching them. One correction, if I may - the joy of kindness is NOT getting kindness back. Better to do good with nothing in it for you, not even kindness in return. That's how I see it.

The guy who plants trees in India has been doing it for like 35 years and last I heard made a 1300 acre forest. Which is freaking huge

3:46 Bless this mom and bless the young man. I hope they both live a happy and healthy life 🙏💛 5:27 pets are such a blessing for kids. I wished every kid could have the opportunity to grow up with pets. I myself was never allowed a dog when I was a kid, although I wished for one from as early as I remember. My childhood and teen years were filled with neglect and abuse. That's why I moved out as soon as legally possible to fulfill my dream of getting a dog. This is about 20 years in the past now and I haven't lived a day since without pets.

The one with the boy running up to a complete stranger, either the boy actually did recognize him but the parents didn't know it or the boy mistook the man for someone he knew. I'll be honest, with all the crap that goes on, I wouldn't want a kid clinging on to me. I would lead him right back to his parents since this could have gone a completely different way. In most cases, the man would have been seen as a creep for holding the boy.

That's a pretty pessimistic view. I had a young boy run up to me in a mall and hug me. The mother said she was sorry and that he does that all the time. What she didn't know was that that innocent and loving act made my day.

Someone once paid for my meal in the drive thru just because I let them go in front of me. So I tried to pay for the next customer but they told me it was called in and already paid for! Arrrghhhh! I wanted to do something nice too, damnit!!😂

I for one believe that humans are innately selfish, I mean, it's great that there are people out there who go around making random acts of kindness, but the fact that they film it and share it confirms my theory. For example, whenever I do something nice for someone I dont know, I can't help but feel good for myself. Am I crazy for thinking like this?

you are right, we are innately selfish and slightly sociopathic by nature....my own personal theory to why it takes so long to rear the human animal is to teach empathy and compassion ....some force (god or evolution...whatever knows this ) put this into play....to what ends?....couldnt tell ya

So what's wrong about feeling good for yourself? what's wrong about feeling pride for helping others?being kind helps you grow personally. I'm sure that your primary motivation is making the other persons life better, the personal gain comes as an extra. I do agree with the recording and sharing part (do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing) but hey, here we are watching and feeling happy, so I guess it serves a purpose

@@marthalazcano3104 nothing at all wrong with feeling pride in yourself for having done something good , that should be the pay off, however I do believe that it should be genuine just as a default way of being. The act of advertising your good deed is not always a sign of self serving ...but it is something to keep in mind...of course you know there are those who would and do harm others with the specific intent to set themselves up as the the heroes when they come to the rescue

Its great this stuff is getting around but this here is just lazy. I watched an exact extended version of this made by the original creator a month ago. Here, all the clips have been shortened to remove context, with a voiceover added to explain the context that was removed. Its just lazy.
