Dude that always, for one reason or another, felt like he had to go through life with a chip on his shoulder. Can tell that the whole time what he really wanted was to be accepted and loved. As great as he was in Minnesota, he was never at peace, never felt at home, and was never shown that kind of appreciation. Watching this, it's obvious how much it caught him off guard and how much it truly meant to him.
