I grew up in the late 80's and early 90's listening to Randy Travis. He has and always will be my favorite artist. I never got to meet him or see him sing live and that is a heartbreaking thing to think about. I am just glad he is doing okay and seems to be surrounded by people who take great care of him.

I saw Randy three times in concert, and I met him while he was sitting on his American Airlines flight in Cleveland once. He is as reserved, humble, and kind as he always appears to be. He is so genuine, flaws and all. 💕Randy.

Randy if you or your wife ever read these comments, I live in Texas and before covid I played guitar and sang classic country to memory care, assisted living and senior centers in my area. I still play and sing for one every few weeks. They love it and I love it. My wife loves it too, as she don’t have to hear me at the house. Music helps so much. It soothes my soul, and as I found out through research, helps in memory care. In fact the corporate management has met with me at several locations and thanked me for my services. They stated that music and nutrition are very beneficial to their residents recovery. I am just a self taught non professional that loves music and serving. I started in September 2019 and hope to get back to playing at all locations soon. I heard that you moved out of Texas, but if your ever in need, I would love to help any way I can. As retired law enforcement officer, it is my honor to serve others. Don’t give up, your efforts are inspirational.

I got to admit when I heard Randy Travis had a stroke. I cried because I thought we would not get to hear his beautiful voice talk or sing ever again. But the way they explained the stroke he had it affected his talking but not his singing. And when I heard he had the stroke and they said that and I seen when he sang Amazing Grace it brought tears to my eyes.i cried because It was so beautiful. I love Randy Travis and I loved when he sang Amazing Grace after he had the stroke. God is so good. When is God so good ? All the time. TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN !

I watched a interview on a Christian show and they had randy travis and his wife on and she said herself that randy travis's singing was not affected but his talking voice was because the brain has 2 different parts it uses for talking and singing. It was on a show by James Robinson. So you are wrong the brain can do different things and not be affected.

@@mr.garlicman3134 I'm sorry. As a result of his stroke, Randy Travis cannot sing professionally anymore. You may not like it and I may not like it, but it's a simple fact. He attempted to sing a few words from Amazing grace at an induction ceremony a couple of years ago, and barely got the words out. If you think that his singing voice was not affected by his stroke, you are simply delusional. It doesn't make you a bad guy.

Believe it or not I thought everyday for months Lord I’ll take it if you can get my husband as good as Randy! It may sound strange but my husband had a aortic dissection and was on life support for six months and stayed in hospitals another two years with rehab etc...so yeah I would have taken him as good as Randy, off life support and off dialysis and the grubby doctors off my case! It was daily sign a DNR! I said he better be alive when I get back here. Anyway Jesus walked in and healed almost everything and when I got back he spoke perfect to me. Until then he spoke worse than Randy by far. The nurse said your imagining it! I drug her down the hall and told him to tell her in three languages! English, Korean and German! She was shocked and the doctor kept looking at his shoes and saying there’s no medical reason for this! I said you know what it is, say it? He said well yes you got a miracle. I bought every gospel song on iTunes by Randy and I heard that beautiful voice and I thought Lord why can’t we have him back but Praise the Lord he made these songs before the tragedy! There’s nothing like Randy Travis singing gospel!

@@raymonddaniel7787 Me? I have not, no but I wish I did! I have all his music and I pray for him! It was just so strange to me about the timing. My husband was on life support and dialysis which nearly killed him every time they did it. I was just telling God if my husband can just get off life support and especially dialysis I can take him home and deal with the rest. So I get what his life must be like and what his wife must deal with daily. Anyway as always the good Lord has a plan and my husbands many miracles and I mean very many miracles, he survived septic shock at least four times. It kills most people just once. Anyway it taught me Jesus is real and nothing is too big for God! I believed for what I could deal with and God gave me what I was too scared to ask for. I pray someday Randy will be healed because I’m sure as much as his fans miss that beautiful voice I’m sure Randy doesn’t feel whole without his voice. I also love watching his touched by an Angel episodes. So much talent! Anyway yes I’m a big Randy Travis fan!
