Check out the Stanton STX for small portable DVS setup, be much easier to use than the PT01 as it has a start/stop button & pitch fader Going to do just that myself in the shop

@@dualoutput Not at all my Friend! I've been using Serato for a while and used many different Rane mixers... I Just started using Stems. Can't remember many times in 10 years that Serato crashed on me in the middle of a Gig. Stems makes your computer think/work harder so if using stems make sure your computer can handle the workload!

And congratulations on Your First Wedding! Don't forget to have a friend shoot some video of you Djing It so that you can use the video to get more wedding bookings!

@@dualoutput Its the stems portion of it, if you map the stems to pads on an entry level controller it will do the same thing if your computer isn't up to snuff. On my high end computer, no issues whatsoever, on my older laptop, stems kill it. Serato opted to go with more hi fidelity on its stem separation, which is rough on older laptops, personally, I don't mind as I do have a high end computer which can handle it and it handles them beautifully, but definitely something to keep in mind. If I don't use stems, my 10 year old laptop(8gb ram, meh processor) works pretty well with the Rane Four, but defintely not getting what I'm getting out of it on my studio setup with high end specs. Will be upgrading to a new laptop with 32 gb of ram and a good processor soon, looking at around $600-700, well worth it for what it will allow me to do, which is remarkable.

Neither to be honest, the static jogs on this controller are excellent (and I come from a turntable background) so no complaints there in that regard Motorised platter media players & controllers are less popular (as good as they are & would be my own personal preference) they do sell less so this decision by Rane targets a larger DJ customer base and is a smart move in my opinion

Rane are well known for having the best build & sound quality of any brand

@@DjCraigDalzellyeah I know but what’s it like compared to the rx3. There have been a lot of KZfaq videos of poor quality control on rane gear recently

@@jamesslaven4103 there’s a small amount of QC issues occasionally with all brands unfortunately. Build & sound on the Rane is superior to the RX3
