I am very new to Deejaying; just a hobby. But I know quality and I drool over that MP2015. I appreciate the wood. It certainly gives the mixer a true high end custom look and the wood does provide a beautiful contrast against the metal and the other materials.

As for as wood goes, if your 50 years old like me, wood is always a good thing. LOL. Acually I do like the mixer without the wood. It does look to 70's with wood as DJ Bellatrix pointed out. Without wood it looks more today. If I did have the Rane Mixer, I would use it with turntables because I did use a Urei mixer with my turntables back in the day and it was great to mix on. LOVE THE SHOW GUYS.

definitively NO WOOD!! lol.. I think is too 1970's. But if Rane make Cdjs and /or other equipments that match that design, I'll provably consider. At that point, I think it'll be STUDIO ONLY. Because wood is delicate and you don't want to harm a high end equipment. Great show guys!..

I love this mixer, something I have dreamed for a long time, how can I get my Audio8 into my MP2016 and it can be used on a table top. Though the price is up there, its something that will be around for a long time. The fact I can use this mixer with Traktor, Serato or any other audio is amazing especially the dual USBs. The only thing that might be missing (and this is a general statement for SUB mixers with sound cards) is an USB hub to simplify setups. I currently use this setup at home with with CDJs and Turntables. I have also taken it for a few gigs, its funny seeing people reactions to the knobs. I prefer it with the wood panels, though it does make the mixer wider. It would be nice to have a second mic input for certain mobile gigs.

This mixer looks (& probably sounds) great! However, it seems like you would have to play around with it a while at home to really see what it could do, whereas the Pioneer djm 900 ihas basically no learning curve & is cheaper. Hmmmm...
