In this video, John Dudley takes you on an in depth look at the best selling Nock 2 It in his personal range and explains the function, features and how to use it to get the perfect shot execution. You won’t want to miss this session where he shares TONS of useful information 100% geared towards making you a better archer.
The Nock 2 It is one of the most popular releases on the market today and for good reason! It’s been dominating the archery community due to its simplicity, comfort and its ability to tighten groups quickly. The Nock 2 It series features a custom 2 finger design, auto-closing jaw for a quick and easy attachment to your d-loop, wrist lanyard. The finger hole is innovated to accommodate use with a light glove while hunting in addition to adding the security of making it ideal for drawing the bow. By limiting the number of fingers you use on the release you instantly reduce the variation in your release angle and rocker position because the hand stays ergonomically correct. Simply put, by forcing repeatable hand and finger pressure you quickly recognize the repeatability downrange! Your group will never be the same again.

good info every time ... shooting a 2 finger from the living room -- thru the French doors -- 30 to 80 yards and back again in snow out back LOL. season never ends when it is always on the mind. Keep up the good work because you are helping the archery community improve. If you want to see some elk ... they are here fore sure.

That tiny little aside about preloading that muscle in your back was huge for me. I felt it right away and can see how I was trying to activate all the wrong muscles to pull through my shot. Thanks John!!

I went through several handhelds and decided to stick with the Silverback and the Nock2it. I swapped the thumb button out for a heavier 3/4” brass knob. I loved the extra weight and the feel of that change. I just wish this thing came with an open hook like the Whisper 2, which I own and the EZ, which I sent back. The open hook would make this the best ever.

Would like to see this in depth video with a Silverback. As a long time wrist strap shooter, the hand held release is a work in progress.

Thanks Dudley for all the great education videos on archery. You taught me how to shoot a bow from day 1. Question: what do you do/think about with your front hand? Do you simply keep it steady and pull into it or do you slightly push into the target?

I cannot fix my bow arm shoulder being high, and my shoulders feeling scrunched up. DL is correct, d loop has been lengthen a bit. I’m so lost and struggling feeling comfortable at full draw / backwall.

I’ve never tried a hand held release. Anyone have arthritis and tried one? I’m thinking it would be a problem, but I don’t know. I use Truefire hardcore max wrist strap.

I made the move from Olympic style recurve to compound bow because of arthritis in my fingers, so I could use a release. I shot an index for a short time and then tried a cheap hand held to see if it would work for me. I’ve been shooting a Carter wise choice for about 2 years now without any problems.

Where is the ideal thumb position while drawing. I have accidentally shot my arrow on draw. 20 years index memory. Lol

Watch him closely, he always wraps it around and touches the tip of his index finger with his thumb.

Well, as you’ve found out, don’t touch the thumb peg while drawing. I tuck my thumb in behind the button. It’s comfortable. Feel like I have a solid grip on the release and there’s no way that button is going to accidentally move back.

That's all good. But where I live, winter is 7 months a year, and in the warm season in summer, hunting is almost all closed, and in the forest mosquitoes eat open hands, so you still need gloves. This release is good for shooting indoors in white pants and a panama hat, but not for real life.

I have killed several deer wearing gloves with no issues using this release. I’m not sure where you are going with this

@@KevinTomlanovich We have minus 20c and a meter of snow in winter, no really warm gloves will fit into this release, and if you suddenly drop it in the snow, you can forget about it and immediately take another one out of your pocket. As it is, a good release just doesn't suit me.

@@user-il9ip8no2olol dude who are you trying to impress. -20 Celsius is -4 Fahrenheit. We see those temps in the middle of the US, much less the north lol. People kill deer in -10 to -20 late season with a handheld, they just wear a hand warmer. It’s fine if you don’t want to break out of your wheelhouse but don’t use weather as an excuse…..

@@Niko_410 They use such releases because there is nothing else and there is no choice.I also shoot with my bare hand from a shotgun, but before shooting, my hand is in a glove.I need such a release to shoot in mittens and I have such a release. The problem with such releases is that he has to make a high-quality shot and this problem is solvable.
