Thanks for the video. So the steering remote next track and previous track doesn’t work? It requires the additional stalk?

Not with android module . You need additional stalk . I can see why this is because it’s essentially running two operating systems and oem system is still the master . In the 10 .25 inch set the android is the master os and oem secondary so steering wheel buttons work for that

Yep should be able to . Speak with seller on AliExpress. They will want a pic of dash . I believe 2013 still had bosch system

Hi, thanks for the video, it was quite helpful. Can you please explain a bit about the stalk? Any Bluetooth remote control will do? Does it connect to the carplay unit or the phone?

I looked at bluetooth ones but they had bad reviews. So I went to hardwired stalk ( see description ) it has two wires KEY 1 and KEY 2. these match up to ones coming out android box. You then use the inbuilt steering remote app to map buttons to what you want Eg forward track , pause Etc . you have to map twice. once for android unit and one in autokit.apk ( carplay ) settings. depending on what interface you are in the mapping will work as set. Hope this helps

I have the exact setup but the carlinkit doesn’t work when plugged in 🤷‍♂️

What you mean when you open the auto link app does it say box is connected

@@ishanperusinghe I’m using an Android phone so android auto connects automatically. As soon as I plug the carlinkit into the USB port a message on screen appears saying usb not supported .

@@tonymilligan4086 so do have the same android box (car Navi )as me . If so try another USB port . USB not supported looks like a rom issue

How do you get android on the system to begin with ? The link for the car play unit says you need to have android installed on the car unit for both android auto and CarPlay. Is that correct ? Thanks

I’m sure you just need the button . I would message the sellers in description and send them a picture of your dash . And mention you don’t have nav button . And let them know what button you have
