@@lukemcgrory2308 Celtic the better side😂😂😂😂 if you actually watched the old firm you'll see that the game was maybe one of the worst old firm displays from both sides ever, 1st goal came from a mistake, not good play, 2nd goal came from a counter attack that they need 2 attempts to put it in, there was nothing else in it that day, celtic just simply got lucky! Since then rangers haven't drawn or dropped points in any game since, where as celtic couldn't beat a team that's picked up a point out a 15😂😂😂

As a Dons fan, Sadly looks like the Rangers Banter years are over, Good luck to the Gers in Europe by the way though, and the bright side is they can challenge Celtic like the Dons did twice for the league. But it was fun while it happened. Inverness 3-0 knock out of them in the cup, Forfar too, Dun Utd 3-0 as well, Raith in the Challenge Cup, 2 knocks outs of the Rangers, by the Dons in the cups in 1 season,, 2 Runner ups in the league, ahead of Rangers in the league, 3 wins at Ibrox, a win at Hampden, and a 2-1 win the first Dons - Rangers match for a few years, by Maddison. So anyway, that does not mean we should stop thinking we can not win cups, nd above them and Celtic in the odd season etc. As long as the Dons do not lose hope, and keep on trying to get as many points as possiblle, next time there is a freak season and the old form do bad, the Dons can still be the most likely contenders to finish aboce them. Maybe even do a Athletico Madrid and win the league. So this season Dons aim is to finish 3rd and get as far in the Scottish cup as possible, Quite frankly this was borders line a Aberdeen Colts, v a rangers on fire game at Ibrox. One of the best things about McInnes, is he does not set up fake ubnrealistic expectations, he aims of rth ebest the Dons can do, And in all hinesty a weakened Dons team should be as bad a s a just below mid table SPFL team, and they often get cruhed at Ibrox. McInnes is the best man for the job, It just shows how great it was that beat Pedro and Warburton and Co to second in the league. Jim Jefferies lost lots of games by big totals to the Old Firm, when Hearts almost won the league, the last time there was a very close battle for a league by a non old firm team. So anyhow, These sorts of results will happen every so often, but it should not be dwelt on, as long as the Dons do not go on a constant downsward spiral of changing the manager all the time, and getting rid of most of the team every couple of seasons, then the Dons should keep being the main challengers for the Old Firm, and be set to finally win Mcinesses' second cup, and even do a Athletico Madrid style challenge for the league Mcinnes is the best to do this. Hopefully the Dons will get a good win against the Rangers, at Pittodrie.

I thought Rangers would have took the initiative, BUT AGAIN their bottle crashed. Seriously 1 shot on target in 90 minutes is deplorable. Lucky it was Moreles it fell to. Both teams were guilty of breaking down the game by constantly fouling their opponents. Meanwhile Celtic had over 10 shots on target with a B team. They are still miles away from Celtic and I'm confident they wont get another great chance like that again, they just don't have the balls.

To be fair to Aberdeen , as somebody from Englandshire who likes scottish footy, they done well to compete with Rangers these last few years, you have to put it in perspective, jermaine Defoe probably earns more a week than that entire aberdeen starting XI, like the rest of SPL outwith the old firm, they all need their strongest possible XI to give these sides a real game, funny the Rangers fans saying it was Aberdeens cup final, it looked like Rangers cup final the way the players celebrated, well done, you beat a team of free transfers and kids, result of the century etc etc

@@JdonaldA lol. Was good enough for us in 1983, it is good enough now. We certainly don't need to drop £15m on a new park that's the same size and has no standing area - which the supporter survey showed a massive support for as a condition for wanting a new park. That's £15m we could be spending on keeping players like Shinnie and actually buying players like Gallagher, instead of taking a loan on from the bloody MLS. Would allow us to expand the talent base and actually bloody qualify for Europe and maybe actually win a cup. All things that involve earning money back.

@@scriptosaurusrex Aberdeen have been a flop in Europe since the days of Aluko. Even with Rangers missing, you lot (with increased investment in players) have failed the Scottish coefficient horrifically AND won nothing. How will staying at that dump change anything since 1985... Time to come into the 21st century... Tynecastle is a better ground... deplorable. Better facilities attract more fans, greater hospitality revenue and source better players... Aberdeen should be looking at clubs like Midtylland or Alkmaar and trying to emulate them... the rest of Scottish football outside the Old-Firm really is just tragic...

@@JdonaldA Actually, apart from Celtic we were the only team to benefit the coefficient until the rangers came back. And in their first year they failed at the first hurdle, although they have admittedly done better since. Point the finger at literally every other club when talking about the coefficient first. Should Aberdeen have gone further and qualified? Yes. Have they 'failed the coefficient'? No, not as long as no other team bar Celtic (and now again the rangers) was winning any games.

@@JdonaldA As for the rest of the spfl being tragic, you literally have the old firm to thank for that. Livi are an excellent example. Moderately large place, doing really quite well, no supporters because they all support one of the ugly sisters there. Pittodrie can be revamped. Don't buy the koolaid that it can't. The beach end got replaced by RDS. The only reason it won't, is because Milne was set to make a mint by redevolping the area for more housing. Probably still will, despite the housing market crash. It's not the facilities letting the supporters down. It's the board and the shocking performances.

I didn’t see any Aberdeen player protest which is usually a good indicator that it was a pen. I’ve a little bit of sympathy on the second one, it wasn’t a tackle as such he clipped his heels by accident but definitely a pen.

UEFA the SPFl SFA ASA ECA etc all say Rangers were founded in 1872 Drew think we will go with them on this. Cheers though for watching Rangers Football Club Scotland's most successful club. I wouldn't watch Pacific Shelf if they were playing in my back garden.
