No he’s not. In fact he’s the OPPOSITE. The rest of the reporters around him suck cry baby tort’s dick and dont want to get in his way, while Brooksie doesnt take his shit! Brooksie has a job to do and that job is to get as much info as he can to the Ranger Fan. If part of that info is grumpy Torts being a baby then so be it.

I might say: "do us all a favor and take a slow boat to handful of doystville." When Vin first came to L.. A. he hadn't lost his Brooklyn accent and he'd say a player would be "tired of waiting...backs out and picks up a handful of dirt." But it always sounded like "doyt."

Before I saw your comment I was thinking "it's probably not a good idea to go at torts if you work in the media and look like a depressed fish, cos it won't end well". I can't make my mind up whether he looks like the last rejected fish at the docks or a bullfrog. He appears to be some kind of weird hybrid lol whatever it is though, it appears to not be able to stop chirping. I'd have had him removed by security secondly because he was disruptive to the other reporters but first and foremost because he's an eyesore lmfao.

I just don't get why you guys would stick up for Tortorella in this situation. A reporter has to do what a reporter has to do. The question on all of our minds [those who watched the game] was "why didn't anyone jump in on Carcillo as he was fighting Gaborik?" Brooks asked him that simple question, and Tortorella took out his frustration on him...period.

@nyrangerstjm Larry Brooks has covered hockey for 35 years....I think he knows his stuff. I am a die-hard Rangers fan, and he is a refreshing read. He doesn't drink the kool-aid, and tells it like it is. Dude, getting Lecavelier would be such a mistake that would harken back to the late 90s-early 00's days. Bottom line here, Tortorella needed to answer that question, and answer it with a "yes."

@6tbonemmvn77 I hate to tell you this, but Larry Brooks is a reporter. As a reporter, he needs to ask questions (which, I'm sure you knew). Larry Brooks asks tough questions, and he had every right to ask about Girardi taking the third man there, as it was a question that was on the minds of many fans watching the game, myself included. The fact that Tortorella doesn't answer makes him look bad. Imagine Joe Girardi refusing to answer why he took Sabathia out in the 6th inning...it wouldnt happen

Torts and Dan Boyle hate Larry Brooks and Bret Cyrgalis but I can tell you right now that I have been reading Larry Brook’s coverage of the Rangers in the NY Post for 25 years and always found it quite insightful. He is quick to learn of rumors and does a good job, when he can, at bringing the fan into the locker room for “gossip”, whenever it avails itself to him. One of the main reasons why I purchase the Post. Brooksie is a Ranger mainstay and Torts is just a guy who spent a couple stints here.
@stevebell48533 жыл бұрын
So basically, Brooksie is a man who's spent his life sifting through other people's garbage looking to stir shit, and Torts is a guy who's spent his running hockey teams and doing something constructive for people. I think I got that straighter than you!
