Having discovered the fates of the missing villagers Bron and his men receive word that the Beacon Tower of Tor Varden has gone strangely silent. Unable to wait for further aide from the King, the Ranger and his Companions head into the borderlands to investigate.

Small correction / note about rules: You can't use two Heroic Abilities during the same activation, like you did Frenzied Attack and later Hand of Fate to re-roll here. Plus: Monsters having shooting weapon are not moving towards Rangers/Companions if having someone in the line of sight, but just shoot (and reload / no second action). That's logical, no point in reducing distance to melee fighters and getting '+1 to dodge' penalty for shooting after move. Also no pushing back in case of a tie during the melee fight.

New to the whole Frostgrave / Ranger of Shadow Deep scene. I actually like it. Fun to play, not overwhelming rules, and I can use my currently owned models to play. Going to just work my way through these 24 episodes as I touch up models before I play the same scenarios virtually with a friend each Saturday. Thanks!

Loving it! I'm about to start my own campaign this week with my sons. Good to hear about the 3X3 table as that's what I have as well. It'll be easier for me to stick with that.

First You need to throw that red dice away lol, 2nd I would sneaked up the right side, took out the archer, he should not have alerted the ones on the bridge, then sneak attack them, But even if they had alerted, they had farther to run, you moved up the center and was in a cross fire / Ambush

Can't use two heroic abilities in the same activation. Ranged enemies don't move before they shoot if they can shoot without moving. Block (1) isn't once per scenario, it's once period.

I think your ranger should have taken damage in the first combat, after he failed the "Hand of Fate" roll. Keep up the good work. Awesome videos.

He should not have been able to roll hand of fate. You can only use one abilty per activation, so he could use frenzy when he attacked, and then hand of fate when the kobold activated to fight him, but not both in the same one.

Otherwise, great vid as usual Ash. Your prior videos caused me to buy the game, and I have got one scenario in. I apreciate it as living on an acreage, having a 1 yr old, odd work schedual, and lovely Alberta winter roads, solo gaming is all I am getting for a bit.

This is what happens when you let a normal bird defend your flank. As awesome as corvids are, they are not excellent fighters. This game is pretty awesome though. Hope to see more, especially if you GM for some other guys...

That D20, this game shows exactly why I hate this system for competitive matchups. BUT, it is perfect for this style adventure game where story and memorable moments are more important than strategy and tactics. Really interested, thanks for the vid.

The d20 needs a lot of care to properly balance. Something I feel Frostgrave is missing. Infinity handles it better though it still needs a bit of work to not feel overly swingy at times. Maybe if Infinity played a bit more like Wild West Exodus it might feel a bit better with the d20. Really WWX and Infinity need to have the dice they used swapped and then the profiles rebalanced for it. (Oddly Infinity can easily be swapped to a d6 as the standard modifiers of +/-3 is 15% and the side of a d6 is worth around 16%.)

Ash, just making my way through the rules...but doesnt each model in a group activation have to complete their full activation before the next guy goes? looks like you are doing first action for all, then second for all...ala Frost Grave. Did I misread that?

In rangers each figure in a Group Activation makes a move. Then you go back and each one does their second actions in any order you like. Page 34, section 2.

Im liking this game all Except so far a Marble that gives swimming and a Shield that gives blocking, but not liking everything seems to be a ONE time use 8( like to see more gold on enemy and you can spend it in town for better gear, specially since you keep rolling they loose all gear, which I think is bit stupid, maybe a random gear or the item used last like it got thrown as you were hit last.

@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames Yeah, I don't doubt your patreons would be in for it, but I think Blackstone Fortress covers a lot of the same ideas, at least in game play. (I did buy some KDM minis on blackfriday, too nice to pass up)
