As part of the construction of the Rangiriri section of the Waikato Expressway a six week archaeological dig was undertaken led by archaeologist Dr Warren Gumbley. The following documentary, Rangiriri, Angry Sky, was shot to record the dig and the many interesting an unusual artefacts uncovered at the historical site.
