My mom was sitting there watching this for the first time the other day and she was like "That has to be so uncomfortable". I was like "What do you mean?". And she was like "Being under so much makeup. I can't imagine myself as an actor having to do that". And then I told her it was CGI. (Before you comment and say my mom is dumb, it was the turtle and the realistic skin that had her fooled)

The color schemes and the lighting looked incredibly good in SpiderVerse, but the animation in Rango is much more detailed while Spiderverse looks more like a comic book movie. I'm not saying that's necessarily bad, just that it shouldn't be compared when they are 2 completely different styles of animation

Honestly really happy Nickelodeon took a risk and made this masterpiece. I remember sitting in the theater watching the trailer and being so excited because it looked so different from other animated films. Definitely deserved it's oscar win.

Gore Verbinski said in a Reddit chat that he's not interested in doing a sequel because he felt "we put everything we could into this one". I mean yeah, I'd like to see a Rango 2 as well, but it's been seven years now and it doesn't seem likely. I guess we should be appreciate some films being standalone without endless sequels diluting their appeal (like a certain other franchise starring Depp).

Let’s all be honest, this movie is great, it’s animation is amazing, it’s characters are compelling and the story is surprisingly deep. (Let’s not forget the adult humour). Even though this movie was absolutely great, it just had one problem. It didn’t know what audience it was for. This movie may have some kids moment in it but doesn’t change how dark this movie can be. This is obviously not a movie for 9 year old kids but when you watch it when your around 12 and 13, you start to love it.

Saw this movie when it came out in theaters, I think like six years ago. Watched it again recently. Great story, funny characters, cool action and most of all, incredible animation. The animators actually put a lot of time in to making this. This was 6 years ago and it's still better then a lot of the animation we get today. I mean compare this to Norm of the North.Yeah, wow

Okay so when I first saw this in theaters (during megamind) I was kinda uncomfortable at first but I was kinda excited and was talking about this movie with my friends (somewhere in March 2011) me and my family watched the film and I LOVED this movie so much! @@hollywoodstreams yes also, Rango is one of my all time favorite movies. Not just favorite kids movies, favorite movies ever made. It doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves, and I can't figure out why. The characters are interesting and feel fleshed out, not perfect, but very believable. The music is spectacular. The Maraochi style, harmonica, banjo... things, just make the movie feel intense. The animation is absolutely stellar. Watching this movie on an large, HD TV will blow your mind. From the water droplets, each individual hair on the animals, the dust, shadows, everything is just perfection. The humor is, for me atleast, really good. I don't really have much to say here. Next! The violence. This is gonna sound weird, but from a story perspective, violence = stakes. Violence is the most effective way to convey danger to an audience. A story without stakes is just a series of things happening with no effect on the audience. PEOPLE GET SHOT! PEOPLE DIE! THINGS HAPPEN!! YAY!!! That's my take on Rango. They show it on cable sometimes, but it'd be better to get this one on Blu Ray, to really experience it's full glory.

I watched this movie again today. Still looks so good! Even for a movie that was made six years ago! And the movie as a whole is fascinating from the themes, to the story, the characters and their designs, the music and the powerful symbolism. Definitely one of my favourite animated films to this day. It is a masterpiece.

My mom and my grandmother took me to see this at the movies when I was nine. I used to love this movie and I still do today! And the animation is really cool! It almost reminds me a little bit of The Polar Express and a few DreamWorks Animation movies!

I love that the dub voice for Rango in my language, was done by a guy who in my favorite TV show played a detective who was really obsessed with western stuff, always wore a cowboy hat and was kinda like Rango in the terms of pesonality. Besides he did a great voice acting too. Made this awesome movie even better to watch.

I remember when I first watched this movie snuggled up with my little sis at night. This will always be one of my favorite animated action movies. I especially loved the weird characters and the rattlesnake guy. I also remember watching this at this really boring school place that I temporarily worked in, the movie was far more memorable than the disgusting snacks and food crumbs all over the comfy chair that fell into the crevices and the cola stains on the carpet bleehh -.-
