Rango is really one of the most underrated animated movies. I think that the animation was way ahead of it’s time. I remember watching this movie in movie theatre and didn't believe what was in front of me. I've never seen anything like it, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen watching this beautiful animation and the story itself. This is a truly unique movie.

One of the most unique animated films I've ever seen in the american mainstream. Nothing like it before or since. Wonderful tribute, or as Rattlesnake Jake would say "I tip my hat to you, one legend to another" (if I'm allowed the ego that comes with the quote). PS: Rattlesnake Jake is such a incredible antagonist, goddamn.

I do think this movie deserves more praises than it usually receives. All the voices actors were incredibly believable in their respective, roles especially Johnny Depp as Rango, Gore Verbinski as the Turtle and Bill Nighy as Rattlesnake Jake. This movie's animation was ahead of its time and had a signature art style that was gritty and old that was very unique and reminded me a bit of the animated movie "9".

If I had a nickel for every time Johnny Depp and Bill Nighy played the protagonist and the antagonist respectively in a movie, I’d have three nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened thrice. (Rango and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End)

Johnny Depp was such a great actor. Among his projects, Rango, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory & Pirates of the Caribbean are my favorites. His sense of humor is on another level.

When I watched Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Death reminded me of Rattlesnake Jake. Each has a similar feel, each serves a comparable narrative purpose, and each ends their "relationship" with the hero the same way, with respect. Oh, and quite egregiously, each has roughly the same amount of screentime: Barely any. But I guess that's a testament to their on-screen presence, because that's all they needed. And to any who say that Rattlesnake Jake does not have the same level of presence simply because he didn't appear until the last half hour or so, he was mentioned quite early on in the film, a seemingly innocuous reference by a townsperson. But when he's mentioned again, you realize that he's not just some random name, something to add life to the setting - he's closer than you think. And when he shows up... wow. He leaves you in awe. I love him so much. I love this movie so much! I'd like to think that, if Rango had gotten the popularity it deserved, there would be over a dozen videos analyzing Rattlesnake Jake, just like for Death.

Rango is forever solidified in my heart as one of my favourite animated films, through not only it’s witty humour, unique and creative art style, but also it’s well crafted story of self discovery. Still one of the best films out there to me.

This captured the film, beautifully. I absolutely adore Johnny Depp. And of course yet, Bill Nighy. Always an excellent opposite to Johnny. The character, 'Rattle Snake Jake', is 'Davvy Jones' all over again. Especially since Gore Verbinski, being the director. What can we say, but Legendary. Both of them, are my most favourite actors. I quote them both, from whatever movies either have starred in, quite often. "One Bullet" or "Thirsty brother", are quotes, I have said time, and time again. When the quote of, "I tip my hat to you" really applied, is when my oldest daughter was born. She is only 5. There was a nurse, who had the same name as myself. As my daughter made her debut, I said to the nurse, "I tip my hat to you. One, Brittany (legend) to another." She got the reference, and died laughing.
