In this video I'll discuss the rank structure of the German Luftwaffe, Air Force, in World War Two. The uniforms of the Luftwaffe wore many different rank insignias that distinguished what rank an individual is, and between enlisted, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Officers.

Every rank has its own board And every section has its color (Waffenfarbe) So does it mean there were different hierarchies of various colors for every rank?

Sorry, English is not my first language. White color was for Generals and Hermann Göring Division. Artillery and Flak were same color. Green color with piping was for Luftwaffe field division. Dark green color was for administrative.

They are pronounced Loitnant and Oberloitnant. Not Lootnant.
