I truly think beauty influencers have forced beauty companies to wake up and put out quality products. Just based on your palettes that ranked low on your list that were powdery and had no staying power, consumers bought them and when they didn’t perform, we assume it was user error. Nowadays there’s no hiding behind the name...if you put out crap for $80, you get called out on it and consumers will not purchase it. Influencers have saved me a ton of money over the years. Thank you for all your testing and reviewing Michele, it’s so appreciated.

Surprised to see none of the original quads that came out with when Chanel reformulated on the list: Tisse Rivoli, Tisse Cambon, Tisse Camelia etc. My favourite of them was the now-discontinued Tisse Venetien (it had the surprise combination mentioned with pink and green). And to this day Tisse Rivoli is my most used super-neutral-but-not-boring gorgeous brown everyday palette.

I bought the Chanel Eclat Enigmatique based on your review and this eye shadow quad has remained my favorite. It looks scary on the pan but is actually very pretty and versatile 👍 love it.

Loved this Michele! 👏🏼 I bought my first Chanel quad at duty free on my first work trip abroad (also worked in fashion 😊) over 2 decades ago! I’ve had a good few over the years but I still hanker after my perfect Neutral go to which was called Prelude. Also loved a similar replacement, a five pan called ‘Charming’. Maybe I should check out your number three palette, really love your makeup look in this video!

Thanks so much for doing this video! I only have a handful of Chanel palettes, and this was a nice reminder of which ones I want to check out. My biggest problem with a lot of the quads is that 2 of the shades always look so similar in the palette so I tend to just put them in the mental "no" pile. However your swatches really help bring out the different nuances between the similar looking shades. I don't feel like I need to get them all, but there are definitely a few in your top 10 that I'll be putting some real consideration in.

What an amazing collection! As you may know, I really love Clair Obscur. I am almost there done with my second one. I was considering the Blurry Grey as an alternative because of the shimmery shade. I think it would be a good choice in the Fall.

I got the Enigma palette in 2010. Heheh. I had seen a pixiwoo tutorial using this and I bought the palette and practised the look Sam came up with so many times so that I could recreate the look for a family wedding. And I did and got so many compliments. Hehe I don’t use it anymore and haven’t in years but I cannot get myself to throw it out. It was my first Chanel quad

Sorry I was late to the party seeing this. I agree with your top 5 . I had a quint from there about 5 years ago a very natural quint and that was my fav. Thank you. Also agree with the Smokey eyes one. I have the Christmas edition from years ago that is powdery but I did get the new formula as well much better. Thanks for the entertainment and the suspense .

We have very similar taste! One that I absolutely love that wasn't on your list though (probably because of the blue) is Road Movie. Also, I still have my very first quad from Chanel that I bought in 2007. Name escapes me right now but I hit pan on all of the shades. I'll never throw it away. It's special. I won't wear it, just keep it. LOL Thanks for this video. It had to be difficult to do it.

I’ve been watching yr latest Tom Ford vids and went onto this, there is something about the way you relate to makeup that speaks to me Michelle, the way you think through makeup is intelligent but instinctive. Ppl think makeup is fluffy and insignificant but not to us it’s not 😎 and you are pretty much the only youtubers who understands that. Agree with what you said about the flower quads, looks just like kids makeup. If you like the colour story of the 358 one, you should check out CT Uptown Girl quad - probably my fave out of all her eyeshadows! Gives such a subtle, pretty everyday look despite the fact that the palette itself doesn't look very interesting xx

I just finished organizing my makeup and skin care and I was a little overwhelmed by the stuff I had accumulated. But I don’t own 25 eyeshadow palettes, let alone 25 Chanel palettes. But I‘m interested 😊

I've never had a single Chanel eyeshadow palette. They look pretty but I don't hear a lot people using those nowadays. I guess very few people buy them for review and then forget about them. Quite sad. Thank you for the video Michele! Have a great day! :)

Always enjoy watching your videos Michelle. Also thanks for those ranking topics, helped me a lot when it comes to choosing a palette. I'm very much in agreement with you on Chanel old baked formula, horrible. I had the old Enigma which was in squire quad and it was amazing. Later on they released the baked pans, total disaster in my opinion. I am glad Chanel improved their eye shadows lately. My favorite palette is Les Indispensables, too! Best neutral and travel body :-)

And of course I just ordered 2 of Michele's recommendations. Was lucky to get #2 Lumière Naturelles. It was still available on chanel.de plus I loved the grey color story of #7 Modern Glamour. It can accent my Victoria Beckham Tuxedo.

This was really fun to watch, Michele! It’s hard to pick a favorite; I’ve been collecting Chanel limited edition palettes for ages... Les Indispensables really boasts great quality. I mean it SHOULD become permanent.... I was hoping she’d make it a tradition to release 9-pan palettes once a year. The Quintessence that came out right before the Indispensables is also terrific, I think it’s amazing 🥰🌷

Great video Michele ❤️ I picked up 2 of the Les indispensable palettes and 2 of the Lumiere Naturelle palettes. They are my all time favourite Chanel eyeshadow palettes. I also love Clair obscure and I feel like I should get a back up as Chanel is known to discontinue products with no warning. They’ve just replaced all their natural hair brushes with synthetic ones. I don’t have the Modern glamour palette but now I’m thinking I should get it.
