Black swan deserves its title as the best kpop song released this year. There is no competition. But I would have definitely put gods menu much higher, and blue hour would be in soty category.

Neomuhae Neomuhae not in my opinion there weren’t.... the composition, musicality, lyricisms, and choreography were all so advanced and unique in comparison to the rest of the kpop industry. The depth behind the song is unmatched as well, and besides that it just slaps

I’ll be really honest but that hurt my soul. Not hate to Blackpink because I’ve been following them for a few years but nothing ever changes about bp’s music. Like I want variety from bp but sadly they only have songs about breakups or roasting haters, you know. Their older music was much better. But Stray kids are giving us that diversity so I really love them cause they kept me feed all through quarantine so I understand you, girl.

@@mohanasurikutchi1739 the problem is that BP, at first, is awesome. Despite not being the first group I stanned, ik many people get into kpop because of them or bts. The difference between those groups is that bts has content for days, while BP doesn’t not. And when u listen to all of their discography a few times and realize that most of their songs have the same structure, it’s honestly pretty disappointing. And it’s not as noticeable if u don’t get into the kpop industry as a whole, but if u do and u get to see what a kpop group which has reached their full potential can do, u can’t ignore how limited BP is. It’s a shame, because at Coachella we got a taste of what Blackpink is really capable of, yet they never seem to evolve. I hope their managers realize that not every song needs to be a hit, that to build a respectable career u can’t follow the same formula in every track. It’s as if every song BTS released was On. It’s not that On is bad, is that to make a mark on their audience, On has to have a Shadow, Filter, Louder than Bombs and Ugh! by its side. Seven songs in an album is not enough and I’m waiting for YG to prioritize the girl’s music careers over their Instagram followers

I know that they don't have creative freedom and that is very sad because you can see that they are very capable of being versatile but they are not being supported by their company and their company is only doing one certain type of music because that is what is making them more popular. I just want their company to take consideration of what they like too but what am I saying, it's YG. I might sound a bit rude but until they get their freedom, in terms of music, I will pick groups like: BTS, Stray Kids, Mamamoo, (G)l-dle, EXO, NCT, VICTON, GOT7, and TXT (I know I named quite a lot but I got more if you want em #multifandomlife). I just feel these groups bring different styles and different genres each time they have a comeback. It might not be popular but you can see that they are willing to explore and try different ideas and styles. You can see that they are growing. As a blink, I want to see that growth in my girls too and I always hope that YG helps them try something new even though I am quiet skeptical about that statement.

Gods Menu as a flop really didn’t do it much, the choreo was pretty iconic all summer, and even I’m not a big fan of noise music but Gods Menu is definitely not a flop. It had a huge impact for skz and their popularity. I wouldn’t put it in flop, but I definitely would skip it so I would’ve gone idk depends with that one
