Mario Party 9 always gets the stigma of having bad boards and a main mode that people mostly hate, but are the minigames good or are they as bad as most say the boards are?

Just because a minigame is simple doesn’t mean its bad it doesn’t have to be complicated every time like Bumper Balls is simple

I love this top too. My favorite minigames are: Pizza me, Mario, Goomba Spotting and Peak Precision. Oh and btw, 35:46, Mario Party DS was the first game to introduce Boss Battle minigames (maybe, it's in a sense as you mentioned), but it's fine.

Skipping Class actually has a lot of neat details. Like the moves the characters do come from the command. Like if it's ⬆②⬇② then there's a backflip, then a front flio

i attempted to come up with different names for the boss minigames in this game... and yeah i ended up coming up with only two good names lol Sock It to Lakitu: Wiggler Bounce: Stomp 'n' Squirm Whomp Stomp: Bombard King Bob-omb: Deck Dry Bones: King Boo's Puzzle Attack: Puzzling Situations Cheep Cheep Shot: Blooper Barrage: Spike Strike: no idea, this minigame's name is honestly perfect Chain Chomp Romp: Bowser Jr. Breakdown: Bowser's Block Battle:

17:34 What I do is shoot slightly after my opponent. Their paint flies, then my paint flies and covers up theirs. And when there's 5 seconds left, shoot don't even charge

I mean I might as well try to finish off the ones I haven't done yet rather than have it be incomplete (except maybe the 3DS ones because they might be difficult for me to emulate with my current computer)

Boards: 5/10 (unless you consider Gameplay as part of the boards). I found the gameplay for the minigames to be very solid

@@thingthang2904 It has one the biggest number of boards since Mario Party 5, newer MPs never have more than 6 boards

@@Cristeve True but a lot of them play similar and while the car mechanic would've been fun for one or two boards, the fact that they all use it feels quite repetitive. Having said that, the game is still massively underrated and I'd play the car mechanic boards any day over the miniscule, uneventful SMP boards.

The ones that I would put in F tier I forgot some of the names but I would put The King bob omb battle is F this boss is just annoying no matter what I do everyone else goes for the same one I’m going for and most the time I end with 0 points The mecha bowser jr minigame is dumb everyone who plays this sucks and we never catch him The boulder 1 vs 3 minigame is just unfair for the 3 I never won when I’m part of the 3 and for the one it’s to easy The one I will put in S are Magma mayhem or the PVP one this one is just Fun I love kicking the shit out of everyone and I always played this minigame with my younger brother Hide and toad seek this one is also fun while it’s simple I just find it really fun And the chain chomp boss is another fun one that I would put in S it’s actually the most fair boss imo there is no bs in this one The one you climb the cliff I agree with But for me I hate most of the boss and bowser jr minigames a lot of them is luck based
