I've been buying from Lisa ever since she released her makeup line in 2018. She just makes my favorite bullet formulas and I love her nuanced colors. Right now, I feel like her brand is my favorite over all. I prefer some products over others, but I love her makeup perspective.

I need to update my LE lipstick swatch videos. The closest one was the Summer 2022 release, where I picked up 8 new Lucent shades and swatched them next to other Lisa shades I already had in my collection. Thanks for watching today, and my kids and I have such fun playing in makeup.

Painterly is my all time favorite lipstick. Palazzo is my most used red, and Night Thoughts had to grow on me but I love it. I recently picked up Rose Official and I’ve loved Meet Me in Berlin since its release. Beautiful fall shade or nude shade. Kitten Mischief is also a lovely every day shade. I do love Merits cream lipsticks as well as some of Revlon’s (i know, not luxury) but Lisa Eldridge wins every day.

I'm a huge LE lipstick fan. Painterly, Palazzo, Meet Me In Berlin, and Kitten Mischief are my most used. I love them all, but those shades are so easy for me to reach for. I'm also in love with both of the Merit Lipstick formulas. I loved the Creams when they first launched, but I'm so impressed with the new Mattes too! Thanks for watching today. P.S. I'm starting to dip my toe into Revlon Super Lustrous, but I keep picking the wrong shades. I like the formula, but . . .

Squee! Thought we'd have to wait longer for the final installment, what a treat to find it queue'd up this morning! I'm 100% with you on the LE. Je ne sais quois was my first shade from her last summer, and the first time I felt a coral really worked for me. (Also noticed when you put it on how it made the colors in your blouse suddenly pop - that's the magic of a perfect color). Since then have gotten several more, and Painterly is my go to shade, especially in the cooler months. But learned about the TF Indian Rose from your series and I think that will be a forever repurchase for me, just a perfect shade for me - makes my blue eyes pop -- and the formula feels so good. I'm curious to explore your #2-4, as I don't have any of those formulas. Thanks for wrapping this up before the Sephora sale, as that is when I'll be looking at those!

I really wanted to get this done because I spent so much time organizing and reordering and testing these lipsticks. Not to mention the pages and pages of notes. It was fun, but after a while I wasn't picking a lipstick to go with my mood but rather because I had to test it for this series. That took a little of the fun out, but now I'm back to wearing what I want based on my look or mood! This video and the last video are full of my favorite formulas. I really enjoy about the last half of the ones in the first video, but Part 2 and Part 3 hold all my favorites. I really love the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks. They're so great, especially the Luxe Lucent formula. I don't normally choose shades like Je Ne Sais Quois, but somehow it works on me. I don't normally get pink shades, but all the pinks I have from Lisa work too. It's a mystery. I think it has a lot to do with the way she creates colors. Painterly is such a favorite, and one of my most used lipsticks. I'm not surprised I couldn't easily find it for this video. I'm so glad that you love the TF lipstick. The formula feels so good on, and that color is stunning. I want more of this formula, but I'd want to swatch in person before picking up any more. My local Sephora doesn't carry TF, so I'd have to be out of town to have the opportunity to swatch more shades. It'll be a while before that happens. The Dior and the YSL lippies in this video are some of my most reached for and most used recently.

She sure does! That's what I love about the way she creates colors. She keeps everyone in mind when she makes them. I'm always surprised at how beautiful the colors look on each model. With other brands, there usually only 3 models, and one or more of them look a little kooky in a few of the shades. I can't wait for the Skin Tint to arrive. I order it this week too along with 2 of the new lip pencils.

I love both those shades! I'm normally not a person who reaches for pink lipstick, but she's an artist when it comes to color. I wear shades in Lisa's lipsticks I'd never wear from another brand. They're more nuanced and interesting shades, and somehow they always look good on me. I love that. Thanks for making time to watch today, I appreciate it.

Ahhh, I LOVE Lisa Eldridge lipsticks! Between Lisa Eldridge and Merit, I don't feel I need any other lipsticks and after learning how toxic fragrance is, I refuse to buy overpriced, overly fragranced lipstick (they remind me of my grandmother, lol). I only wish that LE's line had more warm colours for my skin shade and olive undertone (pinks look terrible on me).

Yes, for the warmer tones. I love Affair and Meet me in Berlin, but I need more peaches and nice lighter browns. Many of her "warmer" lipsticks are too pink on me.

I’ve really enjoyed this series! I do prefer a formula I can feel and smush around; it’s easier for me to tell if I need to reapply 😂 I also always want the formula to be hydrating as well since I have small, dry lips. And I look for formulas that don’t have too much white pigment. Several of the shades you talked about have been on my wishlist (Rose Independent, Icone and Armani 109) so it was nice to see those shades one after another. I had an Armani in this formula before, but it felt very tacky to me. I’m not sure if it was that specific shade but it’s made me a little hesitant to try any other shades.

I don't feel that the Armani is tacky, but it is a heavier formula. I could see how you think of it as tacky. Both the shades I have are like that. If you don't like that feeling, I'd skip on shade 109. It's a lovely shade, but I'm sure it'll feel like the other Armani lipstick you had. When lipsticks have too much white pigment in them, they look a little kooky on me. That's why I rated the House of Sillage lipsticks and the Rouge G from Guerlain lower. I don't like the milky pinks and peaches from either line. If you get a change, check out the formula of the Dior Rouge Lipsticks in person. The satin in 720 Icone is very similar in texture to the Armani. I'd hate for you to purchase a texture you don't like. Maybe it's different enough for you, but they're very similar in my mind. Roman Grace is one of my go-to picks. I love it. I need to try the reformulated Dior. It is so pretty. I am ready for the Sephora sale to try some new picks. Shade is really important but being comfortable is everything. Have a wonderful week. ❌️⭕️

I’ve been using Lisa Eldridge mattes since the beginning and have quite a collection, but didn’t try the Luxuriously Lucent formula until last year! 😳 Painterly lives in my purse and is my most used lipstick, hands down.

It's so good! Painterly is like my chameleon shade. It pulls cool or warm depending on what other makeup I'm wearing. It's one of my most used shades. I love the mattes too, but these are so easy and comfy.

I’m so glad to have these recs before the Sephora Sale. I’ve had the Valentino and Armani satins on my list forever, but I wasn’t sure if they were really worth it! Now I’m going for it! I love YSL lipsticks! I don’t have a satin and since it made it so high up on your list, I will put it on my list! I need LE to release more Lucent shades! (And restock the 2 I feel like I’ve been waiting for forever: Palazzo & Meet Me in Berlin)

If you like a more lightweight lipstick, the Rouge Pur Couture might be what you're looking for. I love extreme pigment, so The Bold surpassed the Pur Couture. They're both lovely formulas, and remember after the bad ones in part 1, ranking the rest of these lipsticks was a matter of small preferences. Part 2 and Part 3 don't have a single bad lipstick in the bunch. I really like the Valentino formula, it's so smooth and light on the lips. The Armani Satins are a bit heavier, but I don't mind that. Just want to make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before you spend your hard earned money. I LOVE Lisa's Lucents! They're so good. I hope she restocks Meet Me in Berlin and Palazzo soon. They're 2 of my favorites and most used!

YSL for sure!!! 13 is favorite perfect beige nude ever!!! The new Loveshine is amazing!!!! It’s like a colored balm it tastes the same as the gold but the colors are off the charts better!!! The candy glaze is too thick for me it’s perfection!!!! On its own and over liners it doesn’t eat them lol!!!! Thanks for all these!!!!! I really love YSL lipsticks. I like the candy glaze, but the Rouge Volupte Shine were my favorites. I'm curious to try the new Loveshine formula, but I'll wait until the upcoming sale. My closest Sephora is 65 minutes away, so it's not an everyday jaunt for me. I have to be on the hunt, and going to that part of the state anyway. I order online mostly, and I wish I had a closer Sephora.

I also love this brand for lipstick (normally I woud wear drugstore). The undertones are genius. Being light olive with cool undertones is not that easy....and mauve and plum are the colours I normally wear. So velvet blush and painterly are easy choices. It was a positive surprise to be able to wear a peachy/pink/nude like kitten mischief! I am on my second one and the formula is very nourishing. This winter I have been using painterly everyday and I have not even bought a lip balm... so that says all for me. Formula, undertones and a nice packaging. Talking about this brand, I purchased the tint in T5, again great undertones, a light to medium cool olive in a light formula ? Summer is coming and I am in😊. Eventhough I am happy with the foundation something lighter for warm months is worth to try. Hope you are feeling better❤

I got some much needed rest. Thanks for asking. ❤️ I love Lisa's ability to create shades that work for so many people. My neutral undertone make it possible for me to wear almost any shade, but I love looking at the models on her website. First of all, she has more than 3, and every shade of lipstick looks good on them. So many other brands have photos with models where one or more of them look terrible in one of the shades. 😬 Kitten Mischief is one of my most used lipsticks, and I adore Painterly. It's such a great formula. Worth every penny!

The lucent formula from Lisa is the one all other cream lipstick formulas are held up against. It is unique and I am in love. I have no idea how she made such a creamy balmy formula that doesn't travel outside of my lip lines, every other formula that is similar takes a trip outside of my lips. EDIT: More lucents are coming this year, but only at the end of the year.

LOL I also love the Tom Ford, I recently got my first TF lip color :) and I am already contemplating getting another color (I got Casablanca). It makes my lis look smoother and without wrinkles!

Ooh, those TF lipsticks are so good! I've been thinking about picking up another one, but I won't right now. I have so much new stuff, I need to dig into many of the ones I picked up between December and late February. I also have 5 new Merit lipsticks. I should be good for a while. We'll see how long my no-buy for lipsticks lasts. : )

Agree with your general thoughts about Lisa Eldridge (my overall fave, all formulas are excellent), Sisley, Chanel, & Dior. I like Tom Ford but his lip products seem to turn bad quicker than most brands. (I need Indian Rose!) IMO the Valentino packaging is beyond cheap, enough to discourage me from repurchasing even though the product is good. It annoys me that it’s plastic, looks & feels cheap, and doesn’t have a magnet to help align the top of the case. I have the Roman Grace shade & think it’s lovely.

I wish the packaging for the Valentino was better, but I like it better than the more expensive Chanel lippie in this video. I feel like both brands could improve their packaging quite a lot. Lots of people have mentioned that the TF lip colors go off quickly, I'm hoping that doesn't happen to me. 🤞 That would certainly be a reason to not purchase again. Lisa makes the best formula and colors for my preferences. I really love her bullet lipsticks! Thanks so much for watching today.

❤ ( for me the most important criteria is that it is fragrance free, so I planning to try-out the armani) ( but I have some exeptions in my collection, 2 lipsticks that are scented, just because of the packaging of the finish i couldn't help myself, luckily they didn't give me contact allergy, but it is possible that it happens one day. I was recently retested and I still had a huge reaction on my back) so thank you for mentioning with every lipstick if there was a scent. ( I have some Nars, LE and Clinique lipsticks they are fragrance free) ( I think the VBB are fragrance free too but I only have her gloss at this point) I love her gloss formula.

@@thelipstickgal I still can wear fragrance if I want to smell nice for an evening out or to go to work. I can't spray it directly on the skin but I can spray it on my clothes on the outside. But I juse all skincare, haircare and body care fragrance free. It is kind of boring sometimes, but it is also practical I am not that overwelmd. If I love a product I can stick to that. But it is sometimes difficult to find good hair care with no fragrance. And the formulas are not always as nice as fragranced ones. But because of that I started 12 years ago to watch you tube reviews, to find excited make up that is fragrance free and not always from the brand Clinique. So and I am still a beauty content addict 🤭

@@ingevanhulst1528 there is so much great stuff out there that's fragrance free. I just wish there was more. I don't understand scents in foundation, powder, and most other color cosmetics. 🤷‍♀️ I've had to switch to color and fragrance free laundry soap. I had uncontrollable itching start about a decade ago. After switching to dye and fragrance free, everything was better. I haven't been to an allergist because I don't have any other allergies. (Except certain medications, and I avoid those at all costs) I have a nostalgic love for Clinique, but if I was only using that brand, I'd get bored really quick.

I have noticed that sometimes the US prices are lower at selfridges than on Lisa's site. I'm not sure about how much shipping is on selfridges, but Lisa ships free.
