That was excellent. You should do a separate set of videos where explore each arrondissement one at a time. You could make a series. One arrondissement a day. That might be too much. Maybe, one a week.

The 20th is definitely my favorite. It doesn’t have many tourist attractions (which I consider a plus), but it is beautiful, laid back, and just feels unpretentious and authentic. It's the arrondissment I would most want to live. I loved Belleville because it reminded me of Harlem, NYC in certain ways. Just ordinary people of all kinds. Great energy. Parc de Belleville is also a hidden gem in the city, and has incredible street art. Nobody is giving credit to the 19th but in addition to Buttes Chaumont, they also have Cent Quatre cultural center and Parc de la Villette which is an awesome place with a lot of arts institutions and other activities. Paris j'taime trop. ❤

@@frenchguytheo Its funny how you have around 7 million or so people that live outside the Periphique in the rest of the Ile De France Paris Urban area but it seems as though those neighbourhoods are considered completely separate despite being a continuous urban sprawl, having said that, outside of the city of Paris proper, when I lived in Paris I only really found a few suburbs there interesting enough and worthy of a visit, like Neuilly Sur Seine, Clichy St Germain on Laye, Saint Denis and a few suburbs South of Paris in the metro area. It would be interesting to see you do a video on those area.

Hello! Thanks for the video! Kinda agree with your tier-list :) But I'd like to add a few things! Well I don't really think the "who lives here" applies when you put mainly residential areas in there (such as 15th)! Btw in the 15th there's rue du Commerce with a lot of specialty stores! For the 12th I'd add "la coulée verte"! In the 17th, the quartier Batignolles is really nice with a lot of restaurants, coffee shops... Also must visit "La cité des fleurs" which is a residential paved street with cute houses and a lot of trees and flowers during the spring/summer time. As for the 19th/20th you can mention the quartier Mouzaïa, very quiet, paved and colorful houses. In the 20th, the "Parc Belleville" with a great view of Paris and the street art are the heart of the arrondissement! We can also mention an Asian community in Belleville (not as much as in the 13th), so it has a lot of Asian stores and restaurants there also. Hope you learned some places, and I'd be glad to know new places also!!

I think it all depends on what you want out of the city! I'm not rich at all, but got lucky on a place in the 7th and I really like it here. Especially since it's not too far by bike to go most places I want to be. I'm also not the kind of person who goes out all the time at night or to restaurants and it's quiet enough here, so I understand why people might want to live elsewhere. As an American I end up helping a lot of tourists 😂 And when people visit it's nice to be near a lot of monuments. The 15th is great if you have a family, and it has for me one best cinemas in Paris at Beaugrenelle 🎬🎥😊 Even after living here for 3 years I still feel there's so much to explore so I appreciate your takes!

I think the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo ever visited the 6 Arrondisement , And eavesdropping the conversation of the artsy people of Surrealist genre scene in the cafe and in her letter that she wrote for the American pen friend , she showcases a sense of dislike sentiment to the folks from Surrealist art scene of Paris which she describe as the “ artistic bi-ches “ and their intellectual character that she describe as too much for her character but at the same time , her piece of work still kept in Centre Pompidou , which one and only art museum in Europe that display Frida Kahlo’s Work

I lived in Paris for about 18 months starting in 1975. It was very interesting to me to hear your comments about each arrondissement since I’m sensed big changes on my visits there, especially in the last 15 years. The 6th was my favorite but it’s become much more touristic. Tourists always went there for Cafe de Flore and places like that, but the core of the neighborhood was students/university people and now those people are all gone. At night the side streets are much quieter-I get the impression that more apartments are owned by rich people, French or foreigners, who don’t live there full time. But I will have to spend more time in the 9th, which was considered a bit boring 50 years ago.
