Personally my #1 of the year was the Pix Party - it was one of my first colour Tamas in almost 20 years (official first was my purple Magic On, which arrived like a day earlier lol), and I had a ton of fun with it! I'm not so keen in the Gen 1 and 2 rereleases - I have the clear purple anniversary shell and ran it once before I took the battery out, lol. It's a cool nostalgic thing to have in my collection, but they're a bit too boring for me. I'm so excited to see what big Tamagotchi release comes next, it's going to be very exciting to be able to participate in the hype this time!

I debated with myself for a long time on which one would be #1 and it was because the Pix Party was such a great release. I'm excited that you can be part of the hype this time too!

I like your list - if I had the convention tamas I'd definitely have those number 1, they look so good! I loved the anniversary tama too. I think for gameplay, the party pix is my fav. I loved the magical change and marine change cards also.

I was REALLY nervous to post this video with the rankings the way I had them. I thought some people might hate it, but I'm glad to see I'm not alone. Thank you for sharing! I'm glad you were able to get them at NYCC. It was such a treat after so many years without conventions.

i know im late to this video but i LOVE the pix. The idea of taking pictures to collect and cook is so cool, and i think the high resolution and multiple colors was a needed change.

the only problem is my pix came with 2 or 3 pieces of dust under the screen and the screen is slightly cracked. it bugs me so bad.

It was a surprise to me too back in 2018 to learn that they NEVER stopped making them! After they were a hit in the late 90's they made a version called the "Tamagotchi Connection" that the early 2000's kids got to play with. I wish I knew and collected back then. Well now that you know, what will you do with that knowledge? :D

I don't have any insider information, but looking at the last couple of years we have had summer releases of Tamagotchi color devices since 2019. I think the signs are good we will get something new this year!

How much time in a day do you spend taking care of tamagotchis?

Hi! That’s a good question. It depends on how many I am running but I don’t think I spend a ton of time taking care of them. I have a full time job so during the day they go to whatever takes care of them (baby sitter in Pix) or I take care of them between meetings. At night I’ll take care of them between things I need to do around the house so it doesn’t feel like a ton of time. I’ve never actually kept track of how many minutes that is in a day😅

@@JillGrygas my “tamagotchi” called Tou Ma Pet and it’s a color. You can see video on my channel about it. But it’s not original and not very interesting to play with this toy ☹️ Where and how to buy original color Tamagotchi I don’t know.

@@JillGrygas we bought three tamagotchis: On fairy pink ( in English) 50$; Mix Spacy version blue (Japan) 40$ ; and Pix Party ballon 70$. Too bad Mix doesn't connect to On 🙁
