What are your FAVORITE Sonic Prime characters?

It’s sad since there was so much potential for other worlds, other characters, and another ending.

I personally would put standard Amy in quite a high tier personally, because she contributed to Sonic's character development a lot. Like all about cherishing memories and sticking together as a team, those moments were just really impactful for Sonic's character imo. But I understand why she could be lower.

I don't think Nine is gone. Don't get me wrong I don't think we'll ever be seeing the Shatterspace character's again, at least theoretically anytime soon. But the way the show made it seem, all the characters just went their separate ways. Back to their worlds. But seemingly the portal back to Greenhill, was only temporary. Meaning those in Greenhill will never have access to the shatter verse and the shatter verse will never have access to Greenhill. At least that's what I think happened. I could be wrong. Lore discussion aside, this is a wonderful tier list!

This is a great list. It's not exactly where I would place the characters, but I think you made good explanations for each and every one of your placements instead of saying "this character is bad" or "this character is good." Great video, Chris. I wouldn't mind more tierlist videos! :)

Sonic Prime season 3 had SO much potential, but it was kinda wasted. My highlight throughout was Nine, he had SO much character development over the 3 seasons from being just an angsty version of Tails, to somebody you just can't help but gravitate towards because you feel for him. But now, unless something BIG happens, we'll never know the ENDLESS potential for not only him, but the rest of the shatterverse cast, who were wither underutilized, or were utilized, but could've used a little more time, and it'll be just another instance of "What if..."

Rusty Rose and Dread/Renegade Knuckles were definitely my favorites of the variants of the Sonic Cast

Most of Primes characters are just okay, but season 3 was just missed potential and the original characters should have had more attention. It was really fun to watch though.

I feel like it was especially the chaos council that had potential taken from just because the way they were written was really strange in this specific season. They were basically not developing their characters whatsoever and of course they were beaten easily at the very end. The ending of this show, was PAINFULLY anti climactic, and because it was a timeline reset, everything that happened in sonic prime would’ve never actually happened, and it hurts knowing that we’ve been waiting a whole year just for this show to end like this. If they do decide to make a s4 I hope they can redeem themselves in some sort of way.

I think that the chaos council are the 5 core traits of eggman's personality. They were probably manifested by eggman's close proximity to the paradox prism st the moment of the shattering

I'd argue that Amy could be bumped up a tier. Amy because she taught Sonic the imprtance of little thigs such as the palm tree. At first Sonic didn't care, but once Amy and his home were gone her words got through to him. Then the palm tree in differet universes made him cherish what he had/what he has right now.

3:10 the reason is actually quite simple, when the prism was shattered, Eggman's mech was holding onto the prism while the others were farther away and got blasted away (Eggman was still inside his mech when the shattering happen)

honestly sonic should go to A. I think his development from being a naive inconsiderate, independant friend was a greta paty of the series. By the end he learned to appreciate what he had and not take it for granted. he was able to work with people as a team as well. Its one of those things that you can tell was a life changing event for him.Only characters id put above him are nine, robot amy, and shadow.

The shatter verses still exist sonic and his friend just aren’t phissically capable of reaching them as they say near the end when sonic loses prism energy he can’t axist in the shatter verses anymore

Nine is definitely my favorite of the whole show. He kinda reminds me of Roxas from Kingdom Hearts. Both of them were unintentionally created and have a fate where they basically need to stop existing in order to fix their original selves, but both have a hard time accepting that because they feel like they are their own person and just want to live their own type of life

My personal rankings of chaos council 5 from worst to best: 5. Dr.Don’t. Not enough personality to get higher. 4. Dr.Babble. A fun idea for a villain. The funniest thing is how all the other characters react to him, notably how only the chaos council can fully understand him. 3. Dr.Deep. A strong individual character with a unique mech and is just enjoyable to watch. 2. Mister Dr.Eggman. A slightly downgraded version of OG Eggman who’s interactions with the rest of the council really elevate all 5 members. 1. Dr.Dunnit. Probably the most reasonable of all 5 members. Takes more of a support role to the other 4, and might be tied with Babble for the funniest member of the 5.

Black rose was certainly had good character development like idk there’s something about her that just makes me hard to hate her, and yes it was really sad to see nine hug sonic, like especially how Sonic tried to convince nine that he is still his friend, it’s just really annoying to have the shatter verse to wipe it’s self out

Top tier are def Shadow, Rusty Rose, Nine Tails, Rebel Rouge, and every Knux variant, maybe also Black Rose. I saw the reception people had to the Chaos Council and had low expectations, but after just getting to watch the show in the last week, I ended up really liking Mr. dr., old man, and hipster Eggman. One of my fav bits in the show is the discourse over yoga. And Mr. Dr. is basically just standard Eggman with a toupee, and he's one of my fav characters in the franchise.

Without a doubt, in my opinion, Nine is probably the best character in this entire show. Shadow is a really close second though. Nine is, honestly, one of the best written Sonic characters we've ever gotten. In fact, he even be the best. His emtire character arc was literally so compelling and interesting all throughout the show. I also really love how he's essentially Tails completely re-imagined into this polar opposite of the one we know. And, I'm gonna be real. His villain arc is probably one of the best I've ever seen. It really shows how betrayal can really make someone go insane and obsessed about getting a certain thing that he or she wanted. And as a plus, we got a really heartfelt Redemption Arc! As for Shadow, I really love how he was written here. He's so different from what we've been given, and I love that. My only complaint was that he did NOT GET ENOUGH SCREEN TIME!!

This show had a LOT of potential but I feel like it never really did anything with it. There were way to much filler scenes and repetitive action sequences that just made it all blend together. They could have easily made two more worlds where Rouge and Big were the focus, since Tails is New Yoke, Amy is Boscage Maze, and Knuckles is No Place. I also felt the dialogue could have been a lot better. They had so many different versions of characters to work with but never did anything with them, like Chaos Sonic who only got one episode when they totally could have made it longer instead of having more filler. Still a decent show but there is room for a lot of improvement.

Sonichub, this has to be the only time I've had to agree with chaos sonic. As much as I like chaos sonic, He DEFINITELY DIDN'T GET SCREENTIME. That situation goes for metal sonic too in the current sonic age but much worse. Like, they treated him like hot garbage.

I hope Nine gets another chance in maybe a Sonic Prime game (I know, this could be interesting, it depends, if its happen or not) OR another series to bring the shattered world and normal world with ALL the characters that exists, and fight together against the chaos council (I know, it is unrealistic and only a dream, BUT it could happen) The most fans are NOT SATISFIED how Sonic Prime ends, maybe there is a chance to combine these two worlds and make of that a game OR series 🤔🤔🤔🙏🙏🙏🙏

Does make you wonder if Shadow were to start in the beginning as Sonic did how would thing have been different. I’m surprised alot of people aren’t saying Shadow and Nine having the same personalities of not trusting others and willing to get things done. In a way they could have been friends.

Sonic Prime takes place after Sonic Generations and likely before Forces. It's because Orbot and Cubot were made after Sonic Unleashed and introduced in Sonic Colours were afterwards Eggman was lost in space and found the TimeEater, so Eggman wouldn't of been able to do anything until after Generations. And it should be before Forces since Green Hill isn't full of sand, but that is not solid evidence as the comics show Green Hill restored. It can also take place after Frontiers as Knuckles is off Angle Island which is what he said he would do in Frontiers, but the main thing is that Sonic Prime 100% must take place after Generations.

My theory is That the flash at the end of season 3 was the chaos emeralds leaving green hill wich leads to sonic frontiers opening

The Show Is Great To Me, Some Characters Are Cool And Nice!

I think every single character is awesome, but depending on their personality is what make them good or bad. Basically, kind of tells them who they are. I feel like the more important the character is, the better they are. Nine, for example, is a great character, because he's important with a pretty interesting story behind him. I say he plays an important role in the Canon story, you know? Shadow was also an important character in Prime, because he actually teamed up with Sonic, like what we would occasionally see, to help take down Nine. Sonic was an OK character, especially in the first season. His character improved as the series continued. I think season 2 and 3 is where took it more seriously to be a better character. It's understandable why some people didn't like the first season. I still think that they did an amazing job with the show, and they cooked with it. So, Nine, Shadow, and Sonic were my favorite characters. It's kind of disappointing on how they ended it, but at least it was worth watching it, and see how it added to the Canon. I literally cried after S3 ended because Sonic caused a ‘reset’ after he went back to green hill, or he caused the shatterverse and Green Hill to be disconnected somehow. So now, all the characters in the Shatterverse won’t be able to see Sonic ever again. 😭

Shadow was the best of all, he was written too good and is a character who is edgy but cares about the rest, well... only sonic xd And sorry but the worst character for me is nine, even worst than the jungle variants, he is a dramatic and a traitor, he trust a guy who just barely meet and even so, sonic told him that he want to save his friends and home and yet he make a drama in the ending of season 2 because he don't want the other world. Not to mention his moment to say sorry was awful and forced, it was like: "don't be evil" -"ok... *cry* " He is a broken character? maybe but still, him drama was idiot and they can use the 3 season to make other things but no, they use nine drama, basically nine is the meme of the alone kid in school.

I think that all the eggmans (plural) are in one shader space so all of the villains are in one team

My favorite sonic prime character is one of the nameless citizens in new yolk that tries to evade sonic after he asks the people why people are ignoring him. Sonic: ''You're busy staring at nothing'' Nameless individual *proceeds to walk away* No for reals, probably Nine. I really like Shadow in the series, but Nine for me takes the cake for being the best character in the show in my opinion.
