I've only played 3 of the Cyber Space levels, those being 4-B (which was also my first one), 4-A and 4F, and even though all they did was remix already existing levels from the base game, they really got creative with the gimmicks, like hell yeah I want a stage where I race Tails to the finish or a stage where there's a hidden goal I have to find, this was the desperate glow up Cyber Space needed and I'm here (REACHING FAR-) for it

I love that each level has a different mechanic, rocket boost and tails race being one of my favourites. But they are levels like 4-E where you have a fucking bomb on you and need get to the goal IN ONE MINUTE……

4-B is my favourite - 5 alternate paths at all times, cinematic camera angles, excellent gimmicks (platforms fall from where they end rather than where you stand, etc.), very little automation, the small bits of automation are all after difficult parts, everything is momentum-based, everything is based. Basically, it's a perfect level 😅

While I would still put 4-C lower, I disagree with your criticisms of it... because I literally didn't encounter some of the stuff you were talking about lol. I guess you just didn't find the alternate routes lol. In fact, I accidently got the secret exit 2 or 3 times before finding the main goal and even then, I never saw that tunnel or wall you talked about. Rocket boost + Spin Dash OP! That goes for 4-A too Also, I don't fully get 4-G's car gimmick. You can boost to slowly gain speed, but if you spin dash, you instantly reach Top gear for a while before literally blowing up. Does the boost do that too if you stay on Top gear? Regardless, this just made me stop and start with the spin dash which was pretty fast but felt off... until the game literally disables it for a side-step section! As someone who has a blast abusing the spin dash all the time, sorry, but I have to put this level at the bottom. Even then tho, it was still kinda fun.

Btw, the gimmick in 4-G is a bit more complex, if you stay at top speed for too long, cyber-G.U.N. (The tanks and helicopters) will shoot you no matter where you are, forcing you to keep an eye on your speed.

THE BEE LEVEL IN SONIC LOST WORLD WAS AMAZING

Personally to me, 4-C feels more like a race level than a normal Sonic level, it's more about racing against hologram Tails with your best possible time and not worrying so much about the actual level design. It's fast-paced, energetic with the music and gets you to think about where you're going. I could see why the on-rails aspect of it would put people off but the idea of it is just more race than normal Sonic stage. I also kinda thought the randomized messy level design of 4-D was meant to be them playing into how insane and AI-generated the music sounded in the original stage it's based on (4-3) and it's remixed version. It doesn't excuse the random ramps and rails but honestly I assumed it was them playing into the random aspect of 4-3, might be wrong though.

4-i was the first level that i played first and bro...that was the best first impression to the new cyberspace levels for me

Legit, the new cyber space levels are my favorite part of Update 3 so far (although I haven't reached the final boss yet, which is like the most unanimously praise part of this update, so we'll see). I was surprised to see that happen, but perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised. I'm the one person who legitimately really liked cyber space from the start. I'm probably the number 1 cyber space enjoyer.

honestly i liked 4-c. it was fun and fast and the spindash let me easily fly theough it. hardest part was not dying. 4-g was easily my least favorite.
