Everything is relative, Preston were the best/loudest fans at Ewood last season but it was a derby and they wankered us 4-1. The season before they brought slightly more and were average. Over the whole of my 40 years following the Rovers the loudest away fans were Sheff Utd at the old Ewood (their promotion season 89/90) and Birmingham at the new Ewood relative to their numbers in a league cup tie in the late 90's.

Last season Sheff Wed averaged more away fans than any other club outside of the Premier League and done from coming 4th in league one with Sunderland coming just behind us

I agree with most of your placements of grading English clubs away supports,I'm a Villa fan & have seen a lot of different clubs coming to Villa park,but a lot of lower league clubs I personally couldn't rank. I'm pleased you're knowledgeable enough too put the Villa away support in elite,cos we're one of the best in the country & any football fan that wouldn't agree with that is clearly full of shit & knows fuck all about football clubs fan bases,so they should stick their heads back up their butts & not have an opinion about subjects they understand nothing about. The north east clubs are also elite,the 3 main ones anyway,you must've had Villa come to Sunderland on a number of occasions,I take it you've seen them live & we're loud & proud of our great historical club,it seems a lot of fans enjoy a trip to Villa park,that's the feed back from other clubs fans I keep getting,I guess cos it's laid out like an old style English ground, they're getting rare nowadays with a lot of clubs moving into modern stadiums,I hate the soulless bowl type, especially ones that weren't built for football like West Hams ground,far from the pitch & a piss poor atmosphere tbh,got nothing against their fans,but it ain't shit compared to Upton park,I believe most would agree with that & the same with Man city,Maine road was better. The problem with our ground is we've out grown it,a capacity of 42.640 isn't nearly enough,home games are sellouts & there's 35.000 on a waiting list for season tickets. The club made plans for a new North stand which would've given us a 52.000+ capacity for phase 1 & a phase 2 later too give us 60.000,but phase 1 has been put on hold for the last 2 years,so a lot of frustrated Villa fans can't get to many live games,tickets are not so easy to obtain for non season ticket holders. Anyway....up the fuck'in mighty Villa!!!! 😜....⚽✌️.....😝....😆...🖕
