Man one underappreciated animation was Eliwood base crit. The sword twinkle is so good. Also, the sniper crit animation is really clean for a twirl crit, it makes the pullback of the bow seem devastating. Sage and Wyvern Lord should be A but that's just because I love those classes.

Amelia's crit is an "oh god the enemy's coming this spear is heavy!--oh... my... it landed in their eye socket."

when i saw lyn's crit animation for the very first time against Batta... that's what really pulled me into the Fire Emblem series

Lyn absolutely shits on everyone else. She has 3 animations that could be some other classes final animation.

In my opinion, the regular Berserker is my favourite one, it starts slow, but in just a blink the Berserker already has his axe on your head, it's basically says that you're dead before you even know it, and I think that's cool af, it may not be flashy, but it's a testament to how deadly Berserkers are.

If you watch closely, you see that Hector Is right handed, he uses his axes In his right hand. But with Armads, he usually uses the axe with his LEFT hand, only changing to the right as he's about to strike. Either ya boi contains himself with Armads by using it on the left hand and only unleashes it's power during the crit... OR he's actually left handed and throughout the whole game he was *HOLDING BACK!*

I'd love to see a GBA spell animation tier list somehow

couple subtle things i really like that i feel should be considered. the way warrior catches hand ax and holds the pose like a boss makes there hand ax stand out IMO AND warrior spins the BOW, not the arrow like every other archer, Warrior has alot of subtle unique's to there crits. and on Merc, they flip in unison with the sword throw, the percision of the spinning character + spinning sword is sweet.

General is the one I always come back to. The ease they spin those massive weapons before releasing all that weight on a squishy target never stops being satisfying. And yeah, the chain just elevates it even higher.

I feel like whenever FE7 gets a remake, Hector’s Armads crit animation should get a lightning effect, unless they decide to do a special combat art for him

i dunno about the dislike on great knight. literally puts all the weight into a meaty slam of the weapon against the enemy; and not to mention the horse's hoof scraping the ground was a nice touch too.

What was a crit you guys remembered the most? For me it was Hawkeye & Pent in that one sand map. Jeez, the amount of crits I witnessed in that map had me like “wow!” Lyn is so memorable the way her animated crit is so crazy just on that first map! (If you’re lucky and get one)

From what I remember, for Monk and Bishop, the visual effect of the attack hitting the enemy is flashier. Same goes for valkyrie, it's not just "two frames". Comparing the standard and ceit animations back to back would have been a better way to do this, but it would've taken nearly twice as much time.

There were clashing opinions here... Great Knight was done injustice and even worse got slammed down to D Tier later, I thought it's menacing look would make it higher. Knight's javelin crit was overlooked, it felt like a tank shot. Druid was bribed to A (which I don't mind) That's all there is to it, other than that I agree to this tier list

Consider this. Monsters have more voicelines than the whole human roster. They all learned from the one and mighty true legend: Gonzales!

Impressive how wrong so many of these are to me, both high and low. A lot of the ones that are super underrated are ones that play with contrast: Erika Lord, Archer, and Berserker are delibrately slow in contrast to the normal attack animations, watching them in isolation doesn't get the full picture

My personal favourite GBA crit are archer and mage. I kinda like rapier crit, a powerful, single trust that immediately pierce through enemy's armour. (probably influenced by Marth's final smash... )

Pretty good tier list. Agree with most of these. I would only swap Eliwood with Hector, Swordmaster with Assassin and bump Hero to S tier. If Paladin ran off the screen like the promoted Fliers or neighed before charging it would've been an easy S tier though. If it did both it would've been S+ tier.

Armoured Knight animations are quite okay, but I feel that if the horse just would jump on the enemy, that would be so savage, especially for the lance animation. The entire animation is kinda building up for it too! Myrmidon is propably the first crit u gonna eat in these games, because every time, you must recruit him with a fucking killer edge jesus

The Cavs imo are ok, the sword movement is a lot like the fencing greeting which is a nice touch Then again classes like Ranger do it too

I feel like the thief's regular attack is a cooler animation than the crit. Was always a fan.

I think Assassin is better than any other generic class if you compare their crit animation to normal attack animation. Everything else ends up in the same pose after they hit except for the assassin.
