Well, we expected all of those guys listed to be extended. Kane and Sprong is a bit of a ?. That’s why I emphasized Kane. I would love Sprong to stick around as well.

i think next year you should add a tier above and below, “All In” at the top and “Fire Sale” on the bottom, just gives the list more variety

Tampa should really go hard for Hanifin. Guys like this never come onto the market and he may take a discount to play where he wants.

lightning desperately need something. You aint gonna win a cup with guys like calvin de haan, raddysh. Perbix has played like trash this year too. Luckily hedman has played better this year but he still has had alot of braindead moments defensively. Not to mention our bottom 6 forwards aint doing shit.

And they will soon get more cap space when Benn and Seguin contracts expire 😮. And all their core players have many years with team friendly contracts. Imo they are in best spot to win SC for next five years.

Canes have played the 5th most playoff games in the past 5 years. So I wouldn't call them just a regular season team, which would fit better to Leafs for example.

They really need to start using their picks to get players. No point to just stay still every year when they clearly need either goal scoring or goalie or both. Late first round pick rarely gives anything special anyway but it can give good assets for playoffs. Tarasenko, Saros, Buchnevich, Kähkönen, Mantha, Guentzel or somebody like that who can improve that team. They have good team but it needs one or two more pieces. Add Guentzel or Saros to that team and they are top3 SC contender.

Im thinking Detroit will just make small moves to clear up space for Edvinsson, Berggren and maybe clear out Reimer or Husso to call up Cossa as a backup to Lyon. Other than that, extending the one-year experiments that actually worked will be a priority.

Any big deal that Boston would want to do is teams would want Mason Lohrei as part of a package. not sure if they will be willing to move Lohrei. especially for a rental.

Flames fan here but I think Detroit should be aggro this deadline towards someone like zegras this type a player can be resigned longterm and make you guys a cup contender for awhile mind you I think the goallltending is a bit weak there.

Habs are NOT at the same level as Detriot. They are on the level of Arizona. I get Monahan is gone but that dosent mean they wont try to trade Savard Allen Pearson Stephens etc..

Vatrano is only 29. He can still grow with the team as they get better. Unless teams are willing to overpay I hope the Ducks give him an extension. He is the type of veteran that the Ducks need to mentor the young guns.

Great Video as usual. I, more or less, completely agree with your analysis in The Video. The New York Rangers & Toronto Maple Leafs are 2 Exceptions. I think that both will be buyers, but I'd put them Conservative Buyers, because I don't think that they want to mess with The Chemistry. The Vegas Golden Knights all depends on whether or not Jack Eichel & Mark Stone will be healthy for after The Regular Season, but, if things stay the way that they are, I agree that they'll be The Sellers you say, rather than The Conservative Sellers they'd be, if both are healthy, unless they do their usual Dancing Around The Salary Cap in The Regular Season. Let me know what you think.

As a Kings fan, all I can see is Kopi and Dewie aren't getting any younger. These guys can only carry our team for so long. As for our massive L streak, I would have to agree with what Drew said. I think all the media got to everyones heads and many players tried to do more than they were supposed to. However, after Hilier was signed as head coach I can confidantly say that the Kings are a true contender. Dubois is starting to find his role, Fiala isn't making crazy risky decisions, our young guys are stepping up, and most importantly our vets are still putting in the work. Talbot and big d dave have been a more than servicable tandem. We should definetly make some moves.

The problem with the Wings is that I want Berggren and Edvinsson to be our deadline acquisitions, but I also don't want to gimp the Griffins. What they're doing might actually be just as good for those two to experience.

They are both keepers. the prospects we have are suited to play around Danielsson, we have the right kids already we just need to steep them in minutes until there stout. I don't want to see any of our prospects on the block, for anything short of a Zadina/ Varana type breakdown.

@@zaneps151Even prime Vasilesky would be allowing a ton of goals when every play around the the net is a backdoor wide open net and the defense can’t clear the puck giving the opposing team 5-6 looks per sequence to score. No goalie today would have been able to succeed with the Blues defense last year as it was as bad as I’ve ever seen in my 30+ years of watching the Blues.

If im nj i trade this year's first. Projected 13-20 has more value then any other team in conservative buyer n higher. Add Holtz or someone else and the devils could land a haul specifically thinking about st louis. A trade for buchy and more would do wonders for the team and showing confidence in them i think gets them in

It would be in the King's best interest if they part with Kaliyev, Spence, and probably Lizotte. These three just don't fit into the team's future right now. Kaliyev needs a change of scenery, Spence is overshadowed by Clarke, and Lizotte just won't ever evolve into anything but a 4th line grinder given his size and mediocre shot. I think they could get at least a solid 2nd or 3rd liner for one or two of these players + a draft pick (maybe 2nd/3rd if necessary). They have a ton of cap space even if Kempe is not put on LTIR since Arvidsson is probably out for the year again. Hopefully they can get someone like Pavel Buchnevich or an equivalent.

I think the habs have to sell a defense prospect, maybe even 2, at the deadline. With everyone coming up its getting terribly crowded. Personally i would trade Harris or Struble, and barron. One trade i could see is to package Harris and Savard to Detroit for their first round pick plus whatever makes the trade fair The reason you package both is, Detroit will appreciate the immediate help Savard brings to their blue line and in the room, but on the long term they also get a solid top 6 defenseman under 24yo. I don't see Detroit giving up their first rounder for just the Savard rental. They want to lock playoffs this year but they still need to add for the future and i think Harris gives them that

As a Devils fan, I don't think we should be buyers. This season is done and we should accept it. In our current state, we're not good enough for the playoffs. We desperately need a total coaching team change in the off-season and we have to acquire an elite goaltender! These should be our priorities.

Senators should be Conservative Buyers, they have too many Left Defensemans, plus they need a veteran goalie that can save the puck better, because that's where they are struggling from, plus they cheaper veterans, half of the signings are 8 million, they need cap space

The Blues are not trading Parayko, and they are not in a long term teardown rebuild. Any Buch trade will be nearly as much a buy as is it a sell. They do not want to move him, so someone will need to bowl them over with an offer. They sold UFAs last year because they missed the playoffs and could not afford to bring everyone back, and the prospect pool need some high end new blood. The plan has always been and remains to do a quick refresh. They'd rather have young players or good D prospects that are closer to ready. They will not be punting the primes of Thomas and Kyrou.

Kings already said they won't be trading their 1st round pick for next year and I don't think they trade for Hanifin anyways. They need a right handed forward first.

I think Florida is kinda in same position as Dallas. No point trying to make anything big as they dont have any weak spot. Some bottom 6 forward mayby. Dont fix it if it isnt broken.
