Manga is indeed good for you

The Blue Box love triangle ended, for the most part. Right now it just concluded a pretty interesting arc. There is, by some degree, another love triangle, but it's not the sole focus that the first one was, and it's not nearly as in your face either, I feel. Blue Box is pretty solid. I also enjoy how they do small dialog bits to wrap up the most minor of loose ends. Like someone goes to a vending machine, finds someone, the conversation splits off to plot, but they still bring up that they got what they wanted from the vending machine. I like it. It's the most minor thing and I love it.

To me Blue Box is one of the better romances out there because there's more to it than just the MC going after his crush, he also has a goal he wants to achieve and so does she. Also misunderstandings get resolved within 2 chapters so it's paradise.

I caught up with Sakamoto Days after watching this. I had been recommend it by a friend before and... god damn. I'm glad I did, it's great.

I made a Tierlist of the manga and webtoon I’ve read in full the other day. Ichigoki I put in F. And The Elusive Samurai was at the top of B, I find it both interesting and funny. My Hero and Mashle I agree really, they’ve been going consistently downhill for a year or two now. But they’re still worth that 5-10 minutes once a week to read them at least. Ichinose was in C for me. It just hasn’t feel like it has hit much yet for me. But I’m not gonna drop it, also sort of because I feel like it’s gonna get cancelled or finish soon so I might as well just ride it out to the end. Fabricant 100 is still relatively new but I put it in B for now. Liable to change to A or C depending on how it continues. Undead Unluck was in my S Tier. Which was a little overcrowded having 10 in there. But out of 54 manga and Webtoon it wasn’t too big a percentage. All the characters are fantastically written. It has awesome worldbuilding. And if you have any kind of empathy you will cry. The only thing that’s slightly off for me is that it’s very fast paced. But it kinda still works. Kaiju No.8 has also fallen off a bit for me. It’s like it started S Tier, I was really enjoying it. Now it’s more B. So A as an average. Spy X Family was another S Tier for me. It just really hits on everything for me. It’s funny and awesome and just amazing. I genuinely don’t have anything bad to say about it. Chainsaw man was in my A Tier. Please don’t murder me. Some things just didn’t really work for me. Like I generally love side characters and I often can’t wait for them to do stuff. Like the Violence Devil. He looked and sounded awesome and thought he’d be OP in a cool way and bam dead. Sharky bam dead. They killed off characters so easily that aside from Aki, I just didn’t really care about anyone. It’s hard to get attached to characters when they’re killed so easily. And if you don’t get attached to the characters, nothing is really impactful in the series. Dandadan top of A Tier. Really loved it, but I feel like the last 10-15 chapters just haven’t quite hit. I was considering S Tier. But it felt like it just didn’t quite hold up to the other S Tiers. Akane Banashi. Another A Tier I was considering for S. Still feels a bit too new to put in S. But I expect it’ll probably move up to S by the end of the year if it doesn’t fall off. Sakamoto days is A Tier for me but has the potential to be S easily. My only real quibble is that I don’t like how they’re using his skinny form so much in fights. What’s appealing about the series to me is how he can use his fatness in fights. Like how in Kung Fu Panda at the end Tai Lung can’t access his pressure points so Po wins rather easily. When Sakamoto skinnifies it feels like if at the end of Kung Fu Panda Po just got really buff or skinny to beat Tai Lung rather than playing to his own strengths. I hope in future Sakamoto learns to use the strength of his fatness in fights. I also feel in general the actual story falls short in comparison to the fantastic fight scenes. Ruri Dragon is C Tier for me. Too short for me to properly tell if it’s good yet.

As a massive mha fan I've pretty much mentally checked out of it too. It's kind of par for the course for a big shonen anime to fall off at the end but it still sucks. For me it started losing what made the series so special to me in the first place after the Stars and Stripes fight. It became really underdeveloped most likely due to the author's health which is really unfortunate because that was coming off of some of the best content in the series (mva-vigilante). It also lost it's genuineness which was probably the most important to me. I view mha the same way you view jjk, I know it has a lot of flaws but I love it anyway because of the series' massive heart. But when you take away the author's passion, that heart is heart is hard to maintain in the story. I think the manga needed at least one more arc to flesh some things out but at this point I'm just kind of passivley reading the leaks. While not really enough to get me sucked back into the world, there have been a few incredible parts recently at least.

For me Undead Unluck started getting great around that whole zombie town arc. Prior to that I kinda digged the premise. Maybe I'm just less put off by suicidal ideation because he's immortal🤔 Idk. It's great tho. I took a break back in chapter 40 or more just to let it simmer and now I hear it's almost over💀 BC has been really down hill for me after the time skip. Like, Tobata really just needs to pull back and let the story simmer some more. Would've also liked less death fake outs in Spade Kingdom. After the whole "We have magic. ANYTHING is possible" in relation to what should've been a guaranteed death. I just gave up.

It's funny, but i thought there was too much Mash and not enough side characters. I feel like side characters had like 10 chapters in total) I've stopped somewhere after chapter 100.

BC’s criticism made no sense to me ngl 😭 if anything BC is one of the most prominent manga in Jump when it comes to letting characters outside of the MC shine. Asta in the Spade arc nearly got the life beaten out of him and had to be saved by others. They only succeeded with a HEAVY amount of teamwork lol.

I completely checked out of ichinose family’s deadly sins. Dropped it a while back. Just got so bored of “twist! Actually THIS family member is also a tragic character etc, everyone’s crying” idk I just got bored of the same thing over and over

I love it’s good but culling games was so unfocused Introduced us to so many characters only for a lot to die and then holy cow the pacing just went too fast in the latest chapters. What was the point of the timeskip if we’re not gonna even explore what happened in that time

Where did you get that circulation number for ginka and gluna? Because it is definetely false . The manga sold quite badly and also the first volume came out in february (2023) so thats impossible.

Bc is literally one of the few new gen shonen animes to give side characters their time to shine🗿 So your take on that is a bit invalid Most of the bc combats are team battles and Asta can be counted as final slasher tho😂

Maybe its just me but besides the OG One Piece none of the new shounen really catch my attention. They all feel either slice of life-y or bland. Jujutsu Kaisen has a good story and really good fights but the characters are just... to me theyre all different shades of disinterested douchebag personality type, I find it hard to feel invested for them beyond that bullied kid mahito murdered. Fingers crossed for a great series

Sorry, but if God is an enemy in Undead Unluck, then I refuse to watch or read it. I’m a Christian, so I find things like that to be an insult to my very foundation as a person. & My Hero’s cast is handled amazingly, wym? They gave that one background woman from AFO & All Night’s season 3 battle a huge motivation for All Might in the Black Deku arc.
