I see a lot of comments on why plants like Hot Potato should be higher. I forgot to mention here that this list is based on how good the plant is at Level 1. Hot Potato only gains the ability to melt octopi at Level 5+.

Lightning Reed is my favorite plant, every "build your defences" level i Just spam 4 layers of them and it is insane

In my opinion, the grimrose should be ranked much higher, it can pull down annoying zombies for cheaper than what you would usually spend

The only placements I would disagree with is that for me Iceberglettuce should be top 10, its just so good and Moonflower would be the best Sunproducer in the game. And I dont see Magnifying grass as the best plant. But for a list with more than 60 entries, thats rwally few disagreements, so great list

7:12 in pvz1, it was much more op as there was a strat I think was called the gloom-walk where you redirect zombies to 2 empty lanes with gloom shrooms constantly attacking.

i totally disagree with the placement of shadow shroom. It can bypass any armor, which easily deals with knight helmet zombies and fossil head zombies. Not only that, but his plant food is absolutely BUSTED, poisoning the entire screen taking out a spam of 20 knight helmet zombies with just 50 sun and 1 plant food????? yes please!!!! also its even better to use against the newspaper zombie, since you can kill it without triggering his rage mode.

Lily Pad is pretty much essential for every BWB level so he should be WAY higher. Hot Potato should also move up because when levelled he can melt Octopi. Grimrose is WAY better than Nightshade and shouldn't be the lowest Shadow plant. His priority system is great as he's like a Potato Mine that can be planted anywhere. His only real downside is that his Plant Food is awful. Threepeater kind of sucks as there's no real reason to use him instead of 3 Peashooters, he should be in the bottom 15. Spikeweed is one of the best plants in the game, he has so many uses, from cancelling Rolling zombies to instantly killing Chickens and Weasels. Also his plant food is basically a get out of jail free card if a zombie is about to reach your house. Also he's better than Spikerock due to his significantly lower cost.

Magnifying grass is underrated as hell, with 2 columns of sun shrooms, it can annihilate literally any canon level.

You forgot to mention the fact that Blover is extremely buffed in Pvz2 due to these reasons: Lvl5 Stallia/Blover Chard guard/Blover Reinforce-mint/blover (the new springbean/blover combo) Any flying zombie weakness: blover Flying imps weakness: blover Dinosaur kicks/blover Primal pea knockback/blover Breakdance throwing ability/blover Hence, blover should be ranked higher. I also disagree with the rankings of Iceberg lettuce (should be ranked really high), stallia (should be ranked higher), chard guard (same with stallia) and wallnut (ofc not better than the rest of the nuts, including chard).

Gold Leaf should be able to be used anywhere outside of Lost City. Unfortunately the game is far far FAR too easy for players to realize its full potential of space-saving. Not talking about Penny's pursuit and Arena, which both have an extremely crappy level design, as if PopCap spent very little effort making those levels.

Some things I don’t agree with is the chili bean. Just because it was glitched is not a reason. It got patched and you can’t use “it made me mad” as a reason to put it lower on the tier list. Also, grave buster isn’t as good as you think, because you have plants that can shoot over graves like the cabbage launcher and the boomerang plant. Also, if plants can’t shoot zombies because of graves, they will just shoot at the graves. So the graves will just be destroyed passively.

At level 5, the hot potato can actually melt off the octopi that the octopus zombie throws, making it pretty invaluable for levels with the octo-zombie in it.

Grimrose is significantly better than tangled keep. Kelp cost 25 sun for 1 zombie dead. Grimrose costs 75 for 3 zombies dead. Its the same conversion however there are more dangerous zombies that appear in all the levels as opposed to just big wave beach. Making it essentially a better tangled kelp.

Rotobaga is actually really useful in big wave beach bc it can actually fly in the water

The Main disagreement I have beside some person opinion ones but BOWLING BULB AT 24? IT IS SO USELESS EXPENSIVE USEFUL FOR 2 SHOTS LOW DAMAGE only useful after a lot of level ups but if we factor that then all plants are good

My tier list of plants 69. Lily Pad It's only useful in big wave beach but can't be planted on the water in pirate seas. 68. Gold Leaf Gold Leaf is a world plant that can only be used in Lost City. They give you sun when planted on. 67. Guacodile Yes guacodile can damage all the zombies but it just goes here because it does only a bit damage. 66. Spring Bean It's only useful in pirate seas and useful in don't trample the flower levels but I'd rather use Primal peashooter, chard guard or stunion 65. Hot Potato Only useful in Frostbite Caves and Big Wave Beach. 64. Sunflower Sunflower is very useful but it's not very great. Seems just like Peashooter. 63. Cabbage-pult I could get it higher if they added an update to this plant. 62. Bloomerang One of the first plants in the game and its useless against jesters but useful against excavators/camel zombies. 61. Tile Turnip Its a great plant and both plants can use their plant food, but the only issue is they cost more sun when planted more. 60. Bowling Bulb It's a very useless attacking plant but the minigame is great. 59. Nightshade It's better when powered by moonflower. 58. E.M Peach Only useful against the mechs, z mech and zombie bull. There are no other robot zombies in the game. 57. Blover Same as E.M Peach. 56. Peashooter Peashooter is bad. Better when boosted by appease-mint. 55. Spikeweed It can't even survive a gargantuar attack but great against Barrels and Pianist Zombie. 54. Spikerock Better than spikweed and survives a gargantuar attack like Primal wall nut but the problem is the sun cost. 53. Thyme Warp It's a great plant but sadly it can only be used in neon mixtape tour. 52. Perfume-shroom Same like thyme warp but it counters dinosaurs and is great in jurassic marsh. However modern day has an level where dinosaurs return. 51. Potato Mine It's a strong plant can kill bucketheads and useful against gargantuars. 50. Stunion It's a great plant and can stun zombies and this is where potato mines are no longer important. But stallia is better. 49. Coconut Cannon It's great like Banana Launcher but the problem is it's sun cost, making it one of the expensive plants in the game (besides winter-melon, tile turnip and banana launcher) 48. Wall-nut It's great but it can't attack unlike red stinger or endurian. 47. Snapdragon Snapdragon is just like a primal potato mine and its great in a few levels. 46. Threepeater Same like snapdragon. 45. Iceberg Lettuce Unlike stallia or stunion, it's the best ancient egypt plant in the game. 44. Primal Wall-nut Useful in some Jurassic Marsh Levels. 43. Citron A very great plant that I bring with me in some levels. (Far future day 13, day 22, and neon mixtape tour - day 3) 42. Magnet-shroom It's very good and it removes armor like buckets, knights, metal plates and even punk zombie's head!!! 41. Endurian A great defensive plant. 40. Laser Bean It's like Bloomerang and A.K.E.E but better. 39. A.K.E.E It's great and useful against excavator zombie. 38. Red Stinger Same like Endurian. 37. Stallia It can slow zombies which is very useful. 36. Melon-pult This is a great plant but Winter-melon is better. 35. Twin Sunflower A great plant which I bring with me in alot of levels. 34. Puff-shroom They disappear after a while and has less health than other plants so you must use it wisely. 33. Fume-shroom It's like a Bloomerang and costs less sun, and great against jesters. 32. Spore-shroom It's a great plant and can spawn more spore shrooms from a defeated zombie. Beware Imp Porters, troglobites, arcade zombies and octo zombies tho. 31. Celery Stalker It's great against glitter zombies and bucketheads, even a gargantuar. 30. Phat Beet Same as Snapdragon. 29. Repeater Repeater is a great plant and sometimes I use it in some pirate seas levels 28. Kernel-pult It's better than cabbage-pult, and kills seagulls and bug zombie's bug instantly. It's great when used against strong zombies. 27. Tangle Kelp Great in Big wave beach. 26. Sun-shroom It's just like Primal Sunflower. 25. Primal Sunflower A great sun producer, which gives 75 sun, enough for you to make your defense. 24. Moonflower Another Sun Producer and powers shadow plants. 23. Dusk Lobber A great attacking plant. 22. Banana Launcher Its a very good plant but a very expensive plant! 21. Sun Bean Another sun producer which is great. 20. Grave buster I know many people will disagree but it's a great plant and explodes near a zombie when level 5. 19. Magnifiying Grass It can kill jesters and a very great plant in far future. 18. Split Pea Great against excavators and prospectors. 17. Pea Pod A very great plant. 16. Tall-nut It's a great defensive plant that can block Bull Rider Imps. 15. Even if magnifying grass is really good, primal potato mine is easily better, a 50 cost cherry bomb that has fast recharge while the arming is only 5 seconds is better than killing a basic zombie for 100 sun

The weird thing about magnifying grass is that at level 2, it can one tap dense zombies, which are basically just slightly stronger than coneheads, but slightly weaker than bucketheads. However, you need to fire 3 times to kill bucketheads which is absurd, as zombies slightly weaker than bucketheads are one taps.

The garlic is actually kinda useful, If you lose a lawn mower you can move the zombie down the other row which can lead it to die to the lawn mower

Sun Bean is op if you know how to use it; use it only against knight zombies and brickheads/ zombies that are tougher than bucket heads, so that you get the most sun possible (this can give you up to about 700 sun per sun bean used) Did I mention sun bean stacks? Aka you can use multiple sun beans on the same zombie

well the plant food power for the shadow shroom is overpowered as hell, also for any zombie in ancient egypt

I believe that hot potato should be higher up the list. I think this because it can be used to destroy octopi in Big Wave Beach, and also has the ability to deal a small amount of damage to zombies on the hot potato’s tile. Despite this although, it is a wasted seed slot in every other time, so I can see your point.

For me, stunion is a lifesaver. He saved me SO many times. And try to use Stunion + Chard Guard + Cherry Bomb/ Squash and you can wipe out all zombies in lane (yeah ik only situational but still)

I mean Sun bean could be useful if combined with another plant Let a strong zombie like a bucket head eat the sunbean then make him eat a hypno shroom and it will generate alot of sun

Chard guard is useful in some scenario also its a CHAD guard

Perfume shroom is really great but they should let us use it outside Jurrasic Marsh such as in Arena matches where Dinosaurs may appear .

Sun bean is actually good if you're using magnifying grass setups. Using one on a buckethead can give 500 sun. Don't understand why people hate it so much. When it's boosted you have a chilli bean that gives sun. The only thing annoying about is picking up the stray bits of sun that the zombie poops out, but otherwise, should be at least top half of the list.
