@@Electrostatic_Fusion Things they did well: Smooth animations, few good travelling companions, prime Team Rocket, introduction to Z-moves Things they did bad: Ash's character was perfect in XY but then changed to being a 10 year old to make it more rEaLiStiC, Mallow and Sophacles were less relevant that Chloe and Max, the entire Alola league was a joke (Ash winning makes no difference since the league was way too easy), Loads of ultra beasts got turned into jokes, Ash literally gets given every special pokemon for free, there was no substance to Ash and Gladion’s rivalry, a large percentage of episodes were so boring they put me to sleep better than Jigglypuff.

The story was very good in unova but the only problem was Iris, due to her always saying 'kid' to others (mostly ash) he was done very weak. Now, in sinnoh league tobias defeated him with two mons but i didn't have any problem as they were mythical and legendary, now why the heck Ash lost to a kid who uses five normal pokemon. Even throughout the series, there are multiple battles he lost for no reason like his pikachu can't use thunderbolt on Iris' excadrill as its a ground type when pikachu already defeated many ground types.

Sorry, but the true fact is that the Anime wasn't that good enough due to many flaws but if you want to see Gen 5 shine better, it's games are amazing. Gen 5 had a terrible anime but it got great games that peaked well.

I love Black & White too, i would say it deserves 6th or 5th spot at least.

I don't blame the art change but the 3d camera style remains along with the battles stemming from beginner style to epic in such a relaxing way. Sure he finished xy in 2nd but Alain was a deserved winner too. Plus he regained the battle enjoyment too. And the quotes made upon parting with greninja about new encounters, bonds and friendships were right cause his finishing alola team fit that margin right! Sorry but the only thing about Ash in the original series that was peak was his attitude because that boy could roast people alive, no chill at all. I loved it but he was very much just a kid still learning, the development was only just starting.

As someone who watched only weekly once, had no internet bsck in 2000..who's that Pokemon interval... Man nostalgia is too good... Personal fav is always the first series... But overall X and Y takes the cake...

I’m sorry but if you’re listing Tobias as a reason for why the Sinnoh anime is the best, then you gotta be on some kind of crack. Tobias was utter BS, and only made the end feel bitter after the fight against Paul. As for the Elite 4 I feel like that’s a stretch, Flint is the only memorable one but his design is incredibly goofy, and he doesn’t even use all Fire types. There’s a literal Bug type trainer in the Elite 4. Nowadays we have plenty of good bug types, but back then they just straight up sucked. Anyways I’m a bit confused since this short is about the anime series but you’re listing reasons for either the anime or games, note they do not overlap in a lot of cases. Biggest example would be the Black & White anime and then the games, big difference in how they’re received.

And I agree with it,but I mentioned Tobias because he is a tough trainer I mean really tough. And secondly e 4 members tell me which other series had more screen time on e4 than sinho? Seeing e4 members in the series itself is a big sight to watch and they showed all e4 members. It doesn't matter how they perform or what pokemon they have in games, I am talking about their presence in the series. What's wrong with bugs typing although he sucks in games because of his bug typing who knows in anime he might be very strong since he is an e4 member. And even games are good but platinum is better where flint has more fire types.

For one he simply has a better team (For some reason an ELITE 4 MEMBER uses a Beautifly and a Dustox), and actually got character development. Guzma was a semifinalist so that alone brings him up to the level of trainer like Ash (who later on became champion of Alola and eventually the world). And if you wanna say that SInnoh Elite 4 members appear more in the anime I'd hate to tell you but the Alola elite 4 members have recurring appearances, the only one not appearing often is Kahili who did still get an entire episode about her. Though not officially Elite 4 members in the anime like they become in the games, the characters themselves made more appearances and had relations with Ash and the gang. As for Tobias, I didn't say you said he was the only reason. I only meant that if you brought him up AS a reason then you'd be on something. No need to bring up pointless reasons when they don't have anything to do with what makes a series great. At least if you do, bring up a better example. Tobias served no reason at all other than an excuse to have Ash not win, that's it. The only logical character that should've beaten Ash would've been Paul but Ash needed to win that fight because of how personal it was. We all know Ash was robbed in XYZ but it made sense that IF he had to lose than it was to Alain because there was no personal reason for him to beat Alain other than to just win the competition. Back to the original topic there is actually a tougher trainer in Sinnoh that you mentioned before, Cynthia. She is canonically stronger than Tobias because in Journeys she remains champion of Sinnoh. That means Tobias either lost to the Elite 4, or to Cynthia herself. Since you already mentioned the rival and champion category it just feels like padding that you mention "tough" trainers and bring up a bad example to prove why Sinnoh is better. And honestly I only mentioned those but there are a bunch of reasons you put that are a bit of a stretch for some. Not trying to bash on the Sinnoh anime, but don't list so many reasons for the sake of padding to make it look like there's a lot to it.

I already mentioned Cynthia and indeed she is the best champion and episodes were not at all boring in fact every eps were damn good. And I don't think Cynthia is stronger than Tobias well at least his darkrai can beat 2-3 of her pokemon and his latios can beat 2-3 or if u want to drag the battle Tobias would win against her with his 4-5 pokemon imo. I liked Tobias actually if he were introduced before with proper intro he would have been best. And in alola also there are no gym battles actually like other regions so I didn't like that concept. The story was good but the characters and design I didn't like. Even the pokemon design I know they are very good at competitive battles but I am not a fan of alola's design they really suck. Only some of them are good like naganedal, nechrozma, lycanrock etc.( ignore spelling mistakes). And movies were not that great compared to arceus and jewels and the rise of darkrai. There are many powerful, badass and great designed pokemon in sinho, + good story line, too many eps to enjoy and watch it's a + point for sinho, and pokemon contest were great, dawn arguably best poke girl. And u know even beautifly and dustox are good in battle if u train correctly ( talking about anime not games) he is an e4 member for a reason. And Paul is the greatest rival.and there is necessity that Tobias should fight a champion it's possible he didn't fight any e4 member or Cynthia.

Alola's elite 4 was with Ash more of the time and overall are better CHARACTERS in the anime because they actually were given personalities and time with the main characters. I know many people don't like Alola's art style, but it is really dumb to ignore how good an anime is simply because the way it looks. Take JoJo's part 5, many people love it despite the art style being very ugly. I can't speak for all episodes being good or some being bad because of memory but overall I don't feel bad about really any of the series for having a lot of bad episodes. I already explained to you why Cynthia is stronger than Tobias, she already canonically remained the champion of Sinnoh. If you think simply having legendaries makes you strong, you gotta be some kind of kid. And I'm not just talking about the games, but even the anime as well. There are plenty of cases of legendaries being tricked by humans, or even straight up overpowered by them. In the final season there was a Latios and Latias being overpowered by a man with a Hydreigon, and not to mention Arceus being the prime example in the Sinnoh anime, which I will get to later. Your opinion on who would win doesn't matter, because we see in Journeys Cynthia is still champion, and hasn't been dethroned. The whole trial system in Alola wasn't bad, and anime wise it didn't really make much of a difference. And if you wanna talk about characters I gotta mention Conway being a creep and Barry being annoying to name a couple. Every region has its own characters to be loved and hated, design wise they're actually unique other than just the same body shape for every other character in the previous anime. Pokémon design wise, I understand why some aren't liked so I won't really go into that but remember every region has its own bad designs. Now to the most egregious statement you made, in no way could Arceus and the Jewel of Life could ever be considered good, let alone BETTER than "Pokémon the Movie 20: I choose You". Arceus and the jewel of Life is unanimously hated by most Pokémon fans for how horribly they represented Arceus. Like the creator of the Pokémon world being TRICKED by HUMANS, not to mention how weakened it was. Literally a horrible job at making a movie about Arceus, you gotta either be trolling, insane, nostalgia blind, or just a kid to think that movie is good let alone one of the best. I choose You is easily one of their best movies, only being behind some true heavy hitters like the original movie "Mewtwo Strikes Back" to name an example. And yea Beautifly and Dustox can be good if you train them properly, but that goes for literally EVERY other Pokémon. Guzma's Golisopod cut a literal Z-Move in half, blocked another, and tanked way more hits than the games would let it. Beautifly and Dustox could never, game or anime wise do something as crazy as that. Sure Aaron is an elite 4 member, but really he's kind of a joke while using those two and his ace being Drapion who isn't a bug type. Any Pokémon can be trained to be good, but the actually better Pokémon who are also trained will always be better effectively making Beautifly and Dustox a joke for an elite 4 member to have. Everything I skipped over I'm probably gonna go over it in the reply below this if it can be seen.
